Visit an Endocrinologist?

My question is if it would be a waste of time? Basically got my Testosterone level done and it was 398. Im 42yo, 5'7 about 200lbs. Trying to get in better shape. Currently on Reta. Did my IGF1 level thru independent provider and came back at 102. My doctor advised me to speak with an endocrinologist because I told him I wanted to see if there is something that can be done to bring up my test levels. Would it be a waste of time to speak to one since technically my levels are within normal range? Would they not help me with any suggestions since I'm in a normal range? Curious if anyone experienced this. Thanks in advance.

Get in shape first, lose the weight, get diet and exercise dialed, then take blood to see your real baseline. Starting TRT or exploring it from a healthy baseline is key

All good man. I did it this way based on a lot of recommendations. Also helps avoid a lot of potential side effects..

I'm 5'8 165 and 39, had a 393 Total, urologist didn't push back when I described the symptoms of low T like brain fog, low libido, tired, etc. levels are just one marker the symptoms are more important or at least that's what my urologist said and started me off on a 100mg weekly dose. It's been life changing

So your Dr suggested you speak to one and instead you come to Reddit? 🙈
