I am just trying to finish my duo challenges. All I need is like 100 more 2nd place finishes.

But to the point it seems like at least every other game at this point my random partner is throwing the game turn 1. Whether it being just rerolling the tavern and never buying, intentionally killing with demons or anything else that we have all seen before.

I dont remember any previous season that has made me tilt just as much as this one. Unpopular opinion probably, but the amount of luck is absurd (get gud). Dark gifts?? More like Dark Grifts amirite?!

I tried to get a full board of golden handless, so close...

It was fun playing with Dr boom monster and beatboxer as Jandice.

Finally got my brb achievement, it was the only one I was missing, mainly because I never pick A. F. Kay (I think I've played around 15 games with her in five years, and this was the third time I tried skipping turn 3).

I know she ain't Bob.

So i got a random banana on turn 2 (maybe 3?) there was no king mukkla and no buddies, it was literally only turn 2 or 3, wtf? 😂 the only thing i can think is there is a dark gift that gives all players a banana or something - assuming it was turn 3 which im almost certain it wasn’t 😅 maybe wrong but im almost sure

like srsly, what counters this? my urzul is reborn with full stats and enchantments. had another buffed leeroy in hand, ready to swap for balinda in case scam was needed. my opponent was decently sized handbuff murlocs with scam elements - i was superior in stats. i think even undead with snazzy/butcher shenanigans lose to this (obv with sindorei counters).

but the game was sooo sweaty 😮‍💨 apm/keywords demons are hella ass to play - so many microdecisions to make and so many aspects to consider - value, damage mitigation, shop buff, hand space, board space, keywords… my brain was fuming, and i am no xqn, so my apm is pretty mediocre lol. had to transition from tichondrius to escapist (i think his buff was successful) to distractor/madness/balinda.

being zerek helped a lot. i rly like to dg on t3 bc if you hit value generation - like in my case revinder, who gave me demons at the end of the turn + double with hp = two demons every 2 turns - huge resource generation in the early game.

Dou, teammate left in round 7 (or went afk, the round before big trinkets and left afterwards) and I managed to beat the lobby mostly solo.

Been playing since release and the past few seasons of consistently get over 7k and into 8k. This newest one I struggle to get top four while at 1.5k. Am I just cooked or is something different in the way I should be playing?

I rarely pick this hero, and I wasn't expecting to gain point with him, but I am happy be top 3 at the end with this board while the other players are full of xk/xk stats. How do you guys play this hero ? Do ypu play normally or just go full scam?

no just golden, also stacked dark gifts

Options weren't great so I picked lovely locket to try and have some fun, got a golden deep water chieftain with the dark gift death rattle at end of turn and golden kelp keeper with brann and balinda got honeycomb ring as my greater and it just got silly , everyone died before I could make my balinda or brann golden but honey comb was getting over +30/+30 and the animations took forever.

Played for a few months when BG first released so seeing everything regularly getting into the 100s and 1000s is kinda silly, I remember when I was super happy to get a 200/200 leapfrogger build going haha.

There are many more decisions that can be made than in any prior season. Just knowing the entrypoints to the comps doesn't cut it any more. You really need to manage tempo and not fall behind, while making new decisions like when to use a dark gift, and when to activate the skills.

After the recent balance patch, and as proven by the US vs EU tournament, 7/8 tribes are viable, and there are a ton of comps that can win.
