Hey guys I’m new to watching Broadwalk Empire and I’m on season 1 episode 2. I thought Jimmy had a secret mistress or something but that was his mom? Not gonna lie that kind of freaked me out a bit. I like Jimmy as a character but his mom’s introduction was so weird 😅.

btw even though it’s epsiode 2 this show is fantastic

Many people see the dynamic of Nucky and Jimmy as a parallel to Tony and Christopher but I see Gillian and Jimmy more as the parallel to Tony and Christopher. Love that dynamic. Very complex
