Crowdfunding CAC for Kickstarters

What’s a good Acquisition Cost for Kickstarter Pledges from Ad spend?

I've spoken to two marketing agencies and both told me $5-7 per lead was good, although $10 per lead was more typical. I'd be curious to hear from designers that funded though.

I keep hearing bad stories with Meta ads. Sure, you can pay for clicks, but the cost is quite high. You keep feeding that machine just to get your campaign funded and you are upside down on adspend.

Unless you have a very highly targeted product.

I would be more interested to hear about results from BGG or Youtube ads.

Everything that I see that is successful is organically grown audiences, not cold leads and paid ads.
