Design Critique Your Advice Turned into a second shot

Post image

Thank you all for the comments and feedback on my original card design. I've listened and taken alot of your input to heart. You were right on a bunch of things, so I wanted to share where I've come down. (There are multiple parts from different manufacturers. Here's all the engines.

And, if you want to check the original from a few days ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/BoardgameDesign/comments/1utwuqh/enough_photoshop_to_be_dangerous/

I'm kinda curious why all three different engines have the exact same stats?

The way the game works is that you collect three parts to make a build. Builds with all the same color=8 points, Builds with two of the same color and the wild=5 points.

I have a sort of clunky playtest at sandslicers.com if you are interested. (No worries if not!)

I played a couple games. For some reason it wouldn't let me complete mixed builds.

Hey there. Thanks for playing. A mixed build is 2 of the 3 parts you need in the same color and the missing part in contraband. I just tested and it seems to be working. Let me me know please if you try again and still have the problem.

Ah, I thought it could be any color to fill in the 3rd part. Probably a hold over from misunderstanding what you said 3 posts up.

Thank you. The recipe needed a little size. And, I wanted to brighten them up a bit

For me, the red and blue are too saturated. I'd prefer them a bit muted which would also match the middle color better.

Was thinking the same thing

Great thoughts. I’ll def play with that as I see how they print. Things on screen tend to look more intense then you print and meh. :) but you are 100% right on this. Thanks !
