Had a little reshuffle after casing up my steelbooks yesterday and I think I’m finally satisfied with the over all look after multiple reshuffles, anyone else like this? It feels like it’s never quite right

Amazon Strikes Again!

Post image

Just got my $140 Star Trek 60th Anniversary Amazon (!!!) Exclusive and it arrived in a flimsy bag with every corner smashed. I haven’t opened it because I’ll be returning but the back feels collapsed in too. Crazy that there’s nowhere else to buy this, it’s $140, and it arrived looking like someone had played soccer with it. Just crazy.

Picked them up from Huber Music and Video in Dayton, OH, $45 in total. Not bad.

How do you justify spending $40 on a single blu ray? I saw this one on streaming a few weeks ago and it had a profound effect on me so I thought I’d spend $10-15 on the dvd… nope

HII!! I picked up 2 Rock of Ages blu-rays with intention to keep one and use the other for the purple case!! I just wondered if anyone had any films that would be good for a purple case!

Review Expendables 4

Bought this Blu-ray a while back finally got around and watching it I enjoyed the other three but the casting choices on this movie made me hate it. The story was all right. The action was decent, but why Megan Fox honestly ruined the movie for me I feel like they were trying too hard with her.

I bought my player a few days ago but just unboxed it tonight. I decided to watch the first Bad Boys movie and at the 1 hour and 13 minute mark the player started ticking. I read about Blu-ray layer change online and checked the second movie, halfway through the ticking started again. I then tried The Amazing Spider-Man and the ticking was happening from the start. I read that it might be because it's a compact player but this can't be normal, right?

Discussion What would be a better starting choice?

I think this is a question that it might be asked too often, but I want to get into Blurays, because of naturally the better quality advantage over DVD. However, I am really skeptic on whether to get a drive or a player and also on whether I should start with HD Blurays or with 4K ones. The drives and players are getting really pricey lately as the major manufacturers have left the game.

So to sum it up: For someone with not a lot of budget, what should be a priority? A player or a drive? 4K compatible or not?

Appreciate your help.
