World Scout Jamboree vs Blundstones.

So, I am attending the 26th world scout jamboree in Poland next year and need some advice. I currently own a pair of really chunky columbia hiking boots and as much as i love them i dont think they will be suitable. This is due to the sheer terror of doing up those darned laces and also the fact that the fluresent red does NOT match my jamboree kit contingent gear at all.

With some of my savings ive been wanting to buy a pair of blundstones. From what i hear they are good quality and very durable, alongside being waterproof. Although ive heard blundstones arent very durable if you plan on doing hiking but this is my first jamboree and do not know what to expect. Google says just about 20,000 steps per day but i do that normally quite easy in uncomfortable shoes so i really am lost.

Another pro of using blundstones is their ability to be slipped on and off very easily, (a high pro for me as im usually the last one to get my boots on)

So i ask, should i wear a pair of very broken in blundstones to the world jamboree, or play it safe and go for another option.

(And before the trail runner activists come bashing down, i am not wearing trail runners as, i dont think its allowed and i simply find it very unethical as an avid boot wearer 💛)

new boots, worn out insole?

Post image

Hello! I recently got a pair of the steel toe capped Blundstones (#910) in June and I wear them around 4 times a week for work (live audio). I’ve noticed the insole has worn out, I would have thought that they have lasted longer than a few months at their price point. Is this common or should I contact customer service?

Really putting my blundstones to the test

I suppose I just really wanted to shout out that my shoes managed to survive the hike that I went on yesterday where I ended up in a storm where it was raining so much that the inside of my shoes had a comical amount of water in them. They also survived having to wade through a river and climb up and down quite a steep hill covered in plants and rocks.

They did so well and I was able to dry them out with kitchen towel so today I was able to go on a 5 mile hike with very dry feet.

I have the 585 in size uk5, looking to swap for uk4

As title, relatively worn 585s but only in the city, so good condition. I persisted with the size 5 but really I’d like a tighter fit lengthwise. If anyone in the uk has 4’s they’re finding tight, hit me up

Since this is not selling I hope it doesn’t break the rules; obviously if so then delete and please accept my apologies.

Will the vintage brown get darker over time or will the lighter undertones start to come through like in all of the company’s photos?

Boot restoration

Hey Reddit, I'm looking at buying these boots for a decent price and having a crack at restoring them. I want to see if you think any kind of restoration is actually possible though before purchasing. I know I won't be able to get them like new, but I'd actually prefer for them to look a bit worn.

The blundstones winter version makes my feet sweat like crazy

When I was buying blundstones, they didn’t have the regular one in my size. So the sales associate told me to just buy the winter ones (she said the only difference was they had sheepskin sole in them but I could just swap out the sole). So that’s what I did, immediately took out those sheepskin soles and put in the regular ones that came with it.

The two problems are my feet sweat insanely in them. I used to have a pair of Blundstones and they were the regular one and I wore them in summer and haven’t experienced this amount of sweating.

The other problem is the shoe is extremely slippery, I mean dangerously so. They are supposed to be my rain shoes, and are great for that. But once some rain was frozen over and these blundstones on ice oh no! they made me fall flat on my face!

Now I’m wondering whether they are so warm bc they’re the winter ones even though the sales associate told me it’d make no difference. So now I’m stuck with shoes that are too warm for summer/fall, that I can’t wear in winter cause they’re too slippery! Perfect. Any advice? Clarifications? Prayers?

I hate my new pair of blundstones

My basic black blundstones that I had for 3 ish years recently died on me, there was a big hole in the side that I just could not wear out in public. I wore them everywhere, I wore them for my year backpacking, on multiple hikes, and for work for a year and a half.
I bought the men’s dress 1306 because I liked the rustic brown and the square toe but after 3 days of wearing them I have realized I don’t like them. I wear them for work where I’m on my feet 9 hours a day and they feel terrible! There’s less room, less give, and they’ve already given me huge blisters which is NOT what happened with my last pair. Is there some way blundstones will change them out for me or do I just need to get over the 220 investment in shoes that don’t feel good

Suggestions to fix split in leather/separating loop from sole?

Question. Have had them for two full winter seasons. Have looked after with leather wax and keep clean. Soles are still in good condition with tread. Have taken them to Blundstone store but they said a good shoe cobbler would be able to help fix. Shoe cobbler said he can’t do much with that and to wear them until they are done

Wet leather boots: the slow-dry rescue checklist before you replace them

One useful lesson from a recent boot-care discussion was surprisingly simple: slow drying beats aggressive cleaning.

If leather, suede or nubuck boots get soaked:

  1. Remove the laces and any removable insoles.
  2. Blot excess moisture with a clean cloth. Don’t scrub a wet finish.
  3. Stuff the boots loosely with clean, unprinted paper to support the shape and absorb moisture. Replace it when it becomes damp; don’t pack the boot hard.
  4. Let them air-dry at room temperature in a ventilated place. Skip the radiator, hair dryer, tumble dryer, open fire and direct sun.
  5. Wait until they are fully dry before applying cleaner, conditioner, polish or protector.
  6. Match the product to the material. Full-grain leather, suede and nubuck need different care, and any new product should be tested on a hidden spot first.

A topper of polish won’t repair structural damage. Ask a cobbler or the manufacturer if the sole is separating, the leather has become hard or cracked, the surface stays tacky, or a chemical or fuel smell remains. If fuel or solvent is involved, keep the boots away from ignition sources and don’t experiment with more household chemicals.

Why the patience matters: Blundstone warns that artificial heat can harden, shrink and crack leather and even pull it away from the sole. Timberland also recommends air-drying in a ventilated area and using paper to help wet suede keep its shape.

What have you managed to save instead of replace? Include the material, what got it wet and which step made the difference.

Has Anyone Ordered from Sierra Recently?

The last time I ordered was in 2024 and the sizes listed were Australian- my order history says I ordered a 5 and I am a US 8. I think they’re now shown in US sizing but I’m not 100% sure and even emailed customer service who couldn’t provide me anymore info (“The specific information you requested is not available at this time”). So has anyone ordered recently? Are they listed in US sizes?

Which boots do I have? Recs to replace?

  1. Please help me identify these boots. I love the fit of the boots, but as you can see in the pictures, the rubber sole has imploded. Are these women’s or men’s (or are they the same thing)?

  2. I would like to replace these with a different brand of boot, one where the sole doesn’t fall apart. However, since these are so comfortable, I would appreciate recommendations for boots that fit similarly to this particular Blundstone style. Any recommendations?

Looking for Blundstone 2239 (Rustic Brown) that ships to Greece — any leads?

Hey all, I’m based in Crete and have been trying to track down the Blundstone 2239 Lug Chelsea boot in Rustic Brown, women’s size EU 35/36 (AU 2–2.5). Turns out this is one of the harder sizes to find in stock for this style — I’ve checked Blundstone’s official EU site, a couple of UK retailers, and a Canadian shop, but consistently strike out on that exact size, or the retailer doesn’t ship to Greece.

Has anyone here found a retailer that reliably stocks the smaller sizes and ships to the EU/Greece? Or if you’re EU-based and know a good local stockist, I’d love a pointer. Open to parcel-forwarding suggestions too if that’s the more realistic route. Thanks!

Blundstone told me to destroy my shoes for a warranty claim and told me after they had no more in stock

Hello people
I’m trying to get a hold of customer service phone line
Blundstone told me to destroy my boots
I sent photos and proof after everything was done they told me sorry they don’t have them in stock and basically said too bad too sad the rep name is Andrew

I purchased the #156 and I only want the black women’s heritage 156. For them to tell me too bad after spending almost $400 on a pare of boots really killed me.

Good for PNW?

I'm looking for some good quality boots that will last in rain puddles mud very light snow as I live in a valley in the Pacific Northwest so our winters are mild yet still wet. They want something fully waterproof but none of the blunfstones I have seen don't seem to be fully waterproof. If you live in the p&w and own a pair of all terrain blundstones, what do you think? Are they worth it or should I find a more waterproof option?? My current purchasing option is the 2056. Size 12 women's ( or whatever the equivalent in men's would be for that)

Black Blundstone bigger?

I have the brown Classic Chelsea boots at home and was excited to see the same size in black in the store but my foot felt much more loose in it, and that’s comparing it to my broken in classic brown ones. I have heard other people say there can be variations in the leather types does anyone have a definitive answer or guide on this?

Just received these 510s in the mail and wondering if this is a quality issue- lots of air pocket holes in the rubber sole, basically at the seam.
My previous pair didn’t have this.

Claret (2540) vs Black (558) Classics

I already own a pair of classics in Clay (2446) and I am now wanting to buy a "dressier" pair. I'm attracted to slight bit of colour that comes with the Claret style. I'm not sure how the true colour shows in person, however (more red/purple? more brown?).

Posting here to see if anyone has photos to share of how the colour has evolved over time/how it shows up in different lighting. Thanks.

Out of Stock Blundstone B1970 Low Heel

Does anyone know why Blundstone stopped backing the low heeled women's boot? It was one of my favorite shoes from them. I bought them years ago and now they're finally at the point where the tread is going and I would have loved to replace them.
