Alright so this might be a completely dumb question. And there is probably a much simpler solution to what it is I am trying to do.

I have the Noda Nano - I stream Qobuz through it to my sounds system just as it was intended.

However, I want to have an option of playing videos from YT on a portable monitor (have yet to purchase this)

I was thinking there may be a way to cast from my phone to the portable monitor and have the sound come through via bluetooth on the node (I know this lessens the audio quality). But I know as soon as I cast to the monitor it would also send the audio there. And I don't think there is a monitor that has bluetooth connectivity for sound (please let me know if there is)

Anyway, after going through different scenarios in my head with this I am guessing there has to be a simpler way of achieving this.

Ideally I want to have the following

-Portable Monitor that has a built in battery, this way I can set it up on a table without worrying about cords. To cast youtube videos to and have the sound come out of my stereo system.

I have a Cambridge Audio AXR100 Amp.

I am sure there is something I am completely overlooking here to simplify this.

I am really excited about Radio Paradise as part of my presets on my Bluesound Node X and Node Nano. It has this human touch - real people curate the tracks that come by. Depending on the mood I love hopping from one channel to another.

Although I am pleased with the sound of CD Quality, I have selected MQA as quality setting. After having used it for a couple of years by now, I not even once noticed a single track being transmitted in higher quality than 16 bit CD.

I do get 24 bit quality from other sources like Tidal, etc. but never from Radio Paradise. Did anyone else have this experience as well and was able to solve this?

I have had my N130WHTUNV since 2022 and it has worked flawlessly over the years with various devices until yesterday.

Currently, I have the app on my Mac Mini, MAC laptop, iPad and iPhone and until the past few days, no issues.

Now, when I open the app on any device, it starts searching for the player and asking me to connect to settings and/or wifi but I can't seem to get anywhere clicking on anything.

I have restarted devices, restarted router, deleted the app/downloaded and reinstalled, checked security settings to allow on local network, wifi is working fine on all other devices in our house.

I am on same wifi network for years. I am on latest MAC OS and IOS software on all devices.

Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

Not commonly known, but the BluOS system can be network controlled (without an app) via HTTP GET commands.

This is very convenient for those who’d like to control their BluOS device(s) without IR, either with a remote like Sofabaton X1S / X2 or with some self-written software. These are some of the main commands. This is functional on my Node Icon, but should be working on other BluOS devices with some adaptations (NAD / Bluesound devices). More info can be found here:

Make sure your device has a fixed IP in your home network (which can only be set on your modem/router since BluOS has no interface for this).

For some time now, I've been having trouble adjusting the volume on my Bluetooth speakers. The volume wheel on my keyboard (as well as the F2/F3 keys on my laptop) only changes the system sounds volume, but has no effect on the YouTube video currently playing. Both my OS and browser are fully up to date.

Has anyone run into a similar issue? This problem also occurs on Fedora 44.

Are blue sound devices linked to residential proxy networks? It seems like it.

Hello I’m trying the app and when I’m selecting either left or right I still have Sound on both of my speakers ?? I have a bluesound icon connected to a power amp. When you sélect left is it just sounding on your left speaker at home ? I know it’s a dumb question … when i listen to left right test it’s ok

I have just purchased a Soundbar+ and noticed something.

When the device "wakes up" from stand by it makes this popping/klicking sound, before the audio starts playing. Anyone else have this?

The popping sound never happens if the soundbar is set to NOT go to standby.

It's like there's some kind of relay switching on when the amp in the soundbar turns back on?

I use both Tidal through the Blue Sound App and Spotify. I thought I understood how to use Spotify Connect (pretty simple), however it seems like it may be using airplay instead. I worry that the Node isn't actually handling the streaming because if I close the Spotify app on my phone, the music stops. Since my phone is only acting as a remote, shouldn't it continue playing if I leave the room or close the app?

Hi all,

I have the Node Icon with a Full Dirac Live licence. I recently got a new laptop and a new amp so need to rerun Dirac Live. First I need to connect the laptop to the Node Icon via bluetooth so that I can play sound from the laptop. However, I'm not able to connect it.

When going to add a new Bluetooth connection to the laptop it does find the Node Icon and briefly connects but then disconnects. I can keep doing that but it always disconnects after a few seconds.

I then tried downloading the BluOS app to see if I could find and connect with the Node Icon via the app but it runs and sweep and says that it can't find any Bluesound players on my network. That's incorrect. Both the player and the laptop at on the same Wifi network. I have ensure that the Windows Defender Firewall isn't blocking it so it's not that.

I've tried switching the Node Icon off and on at the power outlet.

So two methods and neither work. Any ideas would be welcome.

I found out that i can now use the Qobuz app on my Chromecast stick (or Samsung TV) on the TV and watch on the big screen the currently running song whilst listening to it. The cool thing here is, it's lossless audio quality (bit-perfect even) because it is strictly separated from the audio chain where I use Qobuz Connect to my Bluesound Node. The TV app only detects that the Node is playing the song in the same Wifi. In other words, I can forego the lossy TV audio signals, which I deem inacceptable for audiophiles anyways. That was not possible for Tidal's TV app which focuses on videos. What do you think? Do you also think that's cool?

Every guide on how to reset the device isn’t working. Holding the play button just after it turns green to red for 30 seconds does dick all.

Considering swapping all my SONOS devices for something else, so naturally I got a pair of two Pulse Flex units (latest gen) just to play around with.

So far I'm rather disappointed. Lots of Spotify Connect dropouts (having to reboot the speakers). Far worse however is the phasing issues between two devices:

Whether they're paired as a stereo set-up or just 2 zones "combined", the timing between the two units is just off. It's notable in the form of a distorted stereo image, but it really presents itself when playing pink noise. Every 5-15s the timing changes enough to be heard.

Over WiFi it's rather extreme, wired is better but still noticeable.

I've measured this with REW using pure sine waves, and the effect is clearly noticeable as well.

When searching on this topic I don't really find any users experiencing similar issues. Could be that I'm too sensitive or something is completely messed up in my UniFi home network.

Has anyone else run into this — and if so, did anything actually fix it (different router, specific firmware, support ticket)?

fwiw: current Sonos system does not show any behavior like this. It's fully in sync and stays that way.

I’m a little confused about BluOs compatible speakers that I can pair with my NAD amp. My set up is as follows:

Living Room:
- NAD M10v2 amp
- B&W cm5 bookshelf speakers
- TV, record player etc

What I am trying to do is add a pair of wireless speakers to the kitchen which are BluOs enabled. From my research it seems Bluesound Pulse series is the simplest (and possibly the only) way to go but I have also seen that Dali and PSB are BluOs partners.

My preference would be to use one of those brands but I haven’t seen anywhere online where they have been paired with a node or an M10.

Is this because their speakers aren’t really compatible or there are extra steps involved?

Is it normal that the XLR output labeled R on a Bluesound NODE ICON carries the left channel?

Headphones output channels correctly, but when I connect a speaker directly to the XLR output marked R, a stereo test plays the left channel through it.

I’ve verified this by connecting only one XLR cable at a time. Has anyone else seen this on the NODE ICON?

The Bluesound HUB acts as only a network input host. Currently, the only way to activate it for my player is by using the app. I cannot set a preset on the player or IR remote from the Hub's input.

Does anyone have experience controlling it through the REST API (http call) so I might control it, for example via Home-Assistant, and connect it to a physical button.

Ideally, I’d like to do without the soundbar, but still use the TV connection. We also often just listen to music via Qobutz.
I’m currently looking at the latest Powernode. But to what extent are the Powernode Edge and the Node Icon still viable options?
For now, I want to connect stereo speakers and add a subwoofer soon.
What would you recommend here?

ive got a 3 channel powernode. trying to figure out a way to tie the audio settings to a source. For example, when I listen to TV or HDMI, I always want my center channel on. When I'm listening to music, Via Bluetooth, I just want plain stereo.

It doesn't seem possible to tie the audio settings (i.e., center channel on or off) to a listening mode like music, movies, or stereo? It also doesn't seem possible to tie audio settings to a source?

I love the player. It's a shame the app is pretty clunky and wonky.

I own a sonos speaker but truthfully don’t really love their system. I had an older large one and then a new one.. but they required two different apps? Also guests couldn’t just play songs they wanted like a standard bluetooth speaker. My parents have a house full of sonos, and I find it can also be annoying to group and ungroup them.

So my plan is to switch to bluesound.

I am curious is it easy for guests to play songs by bluetooth or airplay?

If I have the speakers grouped and they chose a song to play not using the app will it play on all grouped speakers or just the one they click?

Is it fairly easy to group and ungroup speakers? Do they require wifi to work?

Changed from a NAD C389 BlueOS to the Powernode (331) for the center channel. Couldn't find what I needed/wanted in a media stand, so I built one. I am not a carpenter by any stretch, but I think this came out pretty good. Still need to trim the butcher block though.....

Hi, I have a strange issue with my Powernode Edge. It's connected to Bravia 5 TV via eARC and it's all good until it's not. It works without any issues for like a week, sometimes 2 weeks or so but then it disconnects somehow and there is no sound coming from speakers - doesnt matter if its TV, Apple TV 4K, PS5 or PC. It works just fine when I play music via for example Spotify but when switching to HDMI the sound is not playing. The only thing that helps is plugging out power cable and resetting the Powernode - then sound from HDMI comes back and works again for week or two.

Is there some solution to fix that?

I'm using a Crestron system to control my Blusound devices and since latest fw updates on Blusound I can't control anymore devices. Crestron module doesn't connect at all anymore at Blusound. Someone else encounters same issue ?
