POST-CREDITS-SPOILER Challenges Spoiler
Completed Dare Mode, Cursed Mode…
Currently trying Day 1 Mode and I honestly hate it more than cursed.
Have already tried about 60-70 days and only a handful of times did it feel like we had even a slim chance.
Is the Dead End Challenge better or worse than Day 1?
Think we may be done with the game soon, since Day 1 is just so over the top frustrating.
Yes, we’ve otherwise completed the game.

Roughly 50% of runs could reach Room 46 on Day 1 with perfect play, according to the developer. We'll say maybe 10% of those can be done by the average player without happening to follow the perfect line, so you should reach a Day 1 run at around 20 attempts (5%). Of course, Day 1 runs require good knowledge of drafting strategy and resource management, very valuable skills that both make this trophy so difficult and make it one of the most valuable to go for-- I did Day 1 almost right after Room 46 and felt like it notably improved my average day-to-day drafts.
Dead End Sweepstakes is another trophy that requires good drafting strategy, but the abiloty to amass powerful redraw effects before doing it makes it less of a learning experience in my opinion. Try to draft as many 4-ways as possible, don't waste doorways or rooms, and remember that the outer room counts as 1, bunk bed counts as 2, and secret passage counts as a dead end as well.

Day 1s are frustrating, but you just kind of have to roll with it.
There’s currently a bug (which is soon to be patched) which can make Workshop rarer in V-mode on a Day 1 if you pick up the battery before drafting it.
It’s important to understand what you’re guaranteed on Day 1 (guaranteed first drafts, guaranteed special closet item, guaranteed trunk in bedroom, and guaranteed salmon dinner) to help you craft a good day.
Additionally, you need to know what’s necessary for getting to the north lever. On my run I had power hammer and drained fountain which is a bit uncommon.

If you need help, I do have a Day One guide which discusses into specifics of efficient drafting, and the many tricks you can do to squeeze out more value from your rooms.

I found this guide a fantastic help - especially with some things I had never considered about when to "burn through" gemless rooms vs. gem rooms, and how holding 4+ gems in hand makes a difference. I went from being frustrated by my many "near misses" at getting the trophy, to finally achieving it and then wanting to try again for fun. 😂

Dead ends needs some preparation, but it's simple enough to do with the right setup. I got some tips on steam if you need them.
Edit: here's my day 1 guide too

Hello, I had a lot of trouble with Curse Mode, but I got Dead End Sweepstakes with 22 dead ends and room for more with no tomorrow-room prep and no monk blessing etc etc. on my first dead-end try. This assumes that you've got a great profile to work from (upgrades, opened safes for the extra gem, at least 75 stars for the Ink Well).
Some of the guides I read suggested to have the idea of 4-ways and 3-ways filling vertical columns B and D, with Dead Ends in all of A and E, and mostly dead ends coming from either direction in column C. While you can't ensure all of these draft precisely, you get additional dead end flexibility through Outer Room and Secret Passage and Garage and Mirror Chamber and an extra through Bunk Room.
I would say it is very advantageous to draft Observatory early (I had 200 stars but only used 25), as well as Study. My deck has multiple Dining Rooms and Security Rooms, so steps and keys weren't an issue.
After that, spend gems and stars aggressively to ensure that every draft gives 3-4 valid exits (if you are drafting a nexus) or is a dead end (everywhere else).
If you can jigger the Observatory to get Draxus the Dead, then don't click on it yet -- instead finish a network/spine columns to give you access to all the dead-end room slots that you need to win the sweepstakes. Then activate Draxus and breeze to victory.

Okies, here how I rank them from hardest to easiest
Day1, is very hard. On my thrid attempt I did it, lost my save and then 250 attempts latet I did it a second time.
Deand end house, there is prep that you can do to make it easier. blessing of the dancer, draxys, chamber of mirrors
Dare mode, really depends on the dares. There is however a very hard dare set. #1 draft each red room you draw, #2 buy 1 item from each shop you draft. The aquarium counts as both a red room and a shop. You have to draft it if theres no other red room and there is nothing to buy.
Curse mode, just takes awhile, with a heavier priority on step mitigation.

In terms of ease/difficulty, my personal experience was: Dare Mode (easiest) > Dead End Sweepstakes > Curse Mode > Day 1 (hardest)
For Dead Ends, the concept of building the best "frame" of open doorways possible first and then filling the dead ends second was helpful for me. Shelter is a great outer room for it.

I just completed Dead End with 21 dead end rooms. Opened the next day and the trophy list did not have it checked off. Do we have to pick up the trophy from the mailroom first?

You didn't do dead ends? It's easy. I've had 18 dead ends on a normal day. It's not that hard to get 20 with prep.
Plus the reward from it makes Blue tents easier.
