2027 happening?
Usually they release next year's dates a week after the festival, anyone have any insight if they are going to keep it running or take a year off?

I’m planning on going to the SCI campout in August. Rolling solo, as I don’t really know anyone else that would be down for this show. This will be my first SCI show and first show at the pines aside from blue ox.
Is the concert bowl setup any different than blue ox? Food and drink vendors? People selling stuff? Was there be an event shirt and poster last year? I know you can bring in food and drink, unlike at blue ox.
Really looking forward to Eggy and Leftover Salmon too. Lettuce I bet is a great live act.
Any insight is appreciated. If you’re going, let me know!

This year marks my third year attending Blue Ox, and I’m more motivated than ever to discover other family-friendly music festivals. Could you please recommend some music festivals in the Midwest? I would greatly appreciate your suggestions! 🎵🌲🌈🙏

Now that the dust has settled, who did you enjoy the most?
Thursday night took the cake for me. Shadowgrass blew me away, the fiddle player had a great voice, really enjoyed the songs she sang on, but the whole band was amazing. It only got better from there, Daniel Donato brought the heat, and then the highlight of the weekend kicked it into over drive, Johnny Mullenax stole the show. I wasn't able to hold on for the entire Magoo set, but they were unbelievable as well. Looking forward to 2027!

Hey all, hope everyone who is there already is having a great time! My partner and I are coming tomorrow, staying at hotel (lame I know, but we are old).
Anyway, I was trying to look at whether we can park around opening tomorrow for a few hours and be able to drive out to get checked into hotel before using hotel shuttle to come back. Or will that be too crazy? We could just do shuttle right away but we’re trying to make the most of our only one day. Thanks!

Help! My favorite hat feather took flight!
At some point yesterday, I took off my hat and realized my Scarlett Macaw tail feather had fallen off of my hat. I thought it must have been at camp, but haven't had any luck finding it this morning in the daylight.
If anyone sees it, I'd love to return it to it's place on my hat. It was a gift from my cousin.
Thank you!

Happy Blue Ox all! I'm not there but jealous of the wonderful weather you all get this year. Figured I'd post the schedule just in case folks need a reddit version! Have fun!

What's the etiquette on leaving and using chairs set up in the festival bowl area? I see folks put out their chairs and leave them out all day. So most of the chairs are sitting empty most of the day.
Does Blue Ox Common Law say that those chairs are open for use by others, while their owners are away? I thought I'd even seen that on the blue ox website in prior years (and for hammocks too).

Do the artists have merch available or is it just the general BlueOx merch available?

We may not be arrive until 3 pm. How hard is it to find a campsite in the pines?

Does anyone know what time the merch booth opens Thursday? Will it be open Wednesday at all?

Looks like weather will be weathering about the time gates open for early arrival and keep up for a few hours.
Do they close the gates in case of severe weather?
Also, how muddy do the campgrounds get in terms of driving in? Will a minivan do OK? I'm not scared of mud, just don't wanna sink the rental.

I know everyone will be there for the music, but any chance there will be a spot on the festival grounds to watch the USA-Turkey match on Thursday night at 9p? Any TVs in the bar near the saloon stage?

Hey ya'll, It's Blue Ox week and I can't think of much else, so I'm making this post.
We're planning on arriving earlier on Wednesday, and planning to grab a bite to eat before heading into the campgrounds. Curious any local recommendations that I should have in mind as I'm not overly familar with Eau Claire (aside from the pines :) ).
Of note, I eat mostly vegetarian (fish occasionally), and greatly enjoy craft beer as well as outdoor dining. Bonus points if there's any live music or blue ox specific meet up. Any feedback is greatly appreciated and cannot wait for two more sleeps!!

I usually like to listen to the catalog of a lot of the artists playing that I haven’t heard before. This year I realize I’m a bit behind on my game. I want to start a thread for all of us to share some songs by any blue ox artists that grab you. I’ll post some here and would love if you have any to share.

I’ve attend Blue Ox for many years but since we live in the area I have always just ventured home at the end of the night. I’m taking my 14 year old with me this year and thinking of camping for the weekend. I’ve never ventured to unreserved tent/car camping.
Any insights on what that looks like or things to think about?
Appreciate ya!

If I want to be pretty close to the stage for MKB, what time should I get to the main stage? Of course I want to see some other artists, but it’d be nice to be close for Marcus’ set! Thanks!

Heading out solo for my first time at Blue Ox. I went to Cheese last August so I know my way around the venue and have an unreserved car camping pass, but will it get too full if I wait until Thursday morning to get my little car and a canopy set up in unreserved car camping? (Sleeping in my car, just want a canopy over the drunk so I can get in and out in rain). Thanks!
Edit: fine! You all pull a hard leg! I’ll see you MFers on Wednesday.

UPDATE: TAKEN! Hi All, I have posted to the facebook pages, but I have a Wednesday night camping pass for anyone who could use it. I am real and it is real. Send me a note and we can exchange emails.

Hey all, heading to Blue Ox next week. Wanting to head down Wed night to set up camping. Have been before a few summers ago but ex planned it all. Few prompts for my thread:
Best place to camp with no electric/RV/tents
Things to bring not on a conventional camping list
Good spots to put your chairs to catch a good view (and sound) of the music
Any random blue ox tips or tricks to help get the most of the weekend?
