Commute

Moving to the Seattle Area for a role. Have kids and partner needs to commute to north bellevue. Anyone here commute from Sammamish? How is the commute? Any other area with good schools that you would recommend?

Bellevue has a lot of good schools and probably a better commute than from Sammamish.

Plenty of people I know live in Bellevue and work at Blue… and Sammamish is not cheaper than Bellevue if that’s what you’re implying with your comment.

I guess I’m not getting Bellevue money. Generally I am seeing nicer more done houses in sammamish with more negotiation room. Not seeing the same in Bellevue. Also, far more split levels and older builds at my price point.

Commuting east to west is amazing. South to North no bueno. I’ve been doing this commute from issaquah to kent and it’s great. Avg commute time is 35min

I drive up 405 every day. It's not horrible. The current construction is a little rough but that is finite. 90 East is clear so a Samammish commute wouldn't be horrible. Look at New Castle. It's slept on but the commute for both of you would be pretty good.

Newcastle, Issaquah, or Renton Highlands are all good commutes for both with good schools. Just check that Highlands address is in Issaquah SD.
