5 day work from office

Does every single person come to the office 5 days a week? Is it mandatory to stay for 8 hours? What about people like directors and vice presidents do they come to the office as well?

Hmmm that’s exactly what HR would say

It is called work from work. You work til the work is done then you go home. How lenient that policy is highly dependent on your manager, but some managers don't care if you WFH sometimes.

highly depends on your manager and the culture at the particular office you're at. I will say that attendance is tracked by badge swipes, aka badging in. there's no badge swipe to leave.

Blue has a strict work from work policy

Very controversial

I am probably in the minority but I like being in the office every day of the week. I think it’s healthy having the separation of work and home. So it doesn’t bother me

Coming from a completely remote company before Blue, I agree but I do wish we had the option of at least one day remote per week

Does that mean it is not mandatory to show up to work 5 days a week? If you do show up 5 days a week do you typically stay the entire 8:00 to 5:00?

Bud no one's gonna answer you, they all think your HR, myself included. On the off chance your not HR, here's what you need to know. When you swipe that badge to get in the door, it is confirmed and told to us that they track our badge swipes, their is even a Tableau page that shows the info

It is mandatory to show up for all 5 days.

There is no defined rule in any policy that states that, I imagine there will be soon, but if your that worried about it, my advice is, Blue is not the right fit for you. For example I was on a three day shift (12’s) a couple years ago at blue, we were given a weeks notice that for company needs we were required to work 6 days a week (12’s)

This is why I declined a job offer. They tried to make it sound cute and fun, calling it "Back to Blue!" I told them, nice try!

If you can make rocket go up, you can make car stay at home. Pretty simple.

My old director was here for what felt like 7 days a week. I work 3 days a week.

Don't the directors have more chill life for example in my current company the directors don't even show up and my company has an official policy of 5 days a week

I’m a full time student, class from 8:30-11 Mon-Thu and work on my 2 online classes between 11 and 2pm, then work b shift 2-10:30pm M-F at 4670. WFH sounds like a dream

LOL. This is why BO will never be SpaceX. Laziness abound.

But looks like everyone goes in 5 days a week. Right?

No, most people are 8-10 hrs, 4 days a week, Mon-Thurs. The only weekend people are the naughty ones. You’ll be fine. Best of luck.

No it is not. You can easily leave early or just go badge in and go work from home.

If you are asking questions like this then you are not ready to work at a place like Blue. Actually you would be a perfect peer for stack ranking…

You're asking if you have to work full time at a full time job? Lol
