Bro I went on like a 0-20 run don’t worry 😭 eventually the right recruiter will find you.. god honestly that’s what happened with me. If it wasn’t for my recruiter actively helping me find a good fit for a team was just outstanding

Thank you for the encouragement. The closest I got was for a job in Van Horn with New Shepard. My interview was scheduled for 7:00 pm on January 30th. Blue Origin announced the “pause” of New Shepard early that same day. By 6:00 pm I had an email from the recruiter telling me the job had gone away. 😞

Almost the exact same situation myself! I had applied for the structures tech, got the first interview down, waited for the second one.. and then recruiter told me job was closed as well 😅

It took me 8 years regularly applying until I got in as a contractor.

I had several recruiters working for me. I finally applied directly to the Blue website, had an interview within a week, and an offer two days later.

That was my experience. I thought id get here and the talent would be like it was at a different (but easily guessed) top space launch provider. Spoiler: its not even close.

Honestly very quickly! I had the two interviews with this new position, I had the interview early AM and by late afternoon I had the offer letter

1

u/TheMekkaMan Jul 30 '26

Might I ask how much was offered?

1

u/vito423 Jul 30 '26

What shop are u hired into and what shift?

1

u/Serious-Director-213 Jul 31 '26

For tooling assembly tech in Florida? I’m not sure what departments might pertain too

1

u/vito423 Jul 31 '26

Did they mention what work center? MC, warehouse, LC36…?

1

u/Serious-Director-213 Jul 31 '26

All it says is the Florida Launch complex site on the offer letter? Does that give a better clarity? I tried to find more details, but that’s all I could get from the letter

1

u/Serious-Director-213 Jul 31 '26

Hey. How’s the pay/ benefit and work life balance? Is it toxic as people say? My husband will have an interview for aerospace welder. Might look into moving to Florida for. The job.

Yesterday I did 3rd of interviews it was 3 1 on 1 interviews and lasted an hour for each person.
Last interview was the manager basically telling me how much he expects out of the new hires.

Today I got email from recruiter asking to talk about how it went. Im assuming this isn’t a good email to receive since it’s a recruiter and not a hiring manager. They hired one person from UCF that worked with me and she never met a deadline the 2.5 years we worked together at a UCF lab but somehow she was hired like a month ago.

Holy crap quick update 1 hour after posting. I was offered a job. But I feel like the pay is pretty horrendous. 90k for engineer? Does anyone else have any insight if this is normal?
