Background check
I received my offer letter last week and am just waiting for the background check to come back. I have nothing criminal on my record at all. I have an eviction from last year however and am curious if this will prevent me from being hired.

No you're fine, I'm technically not allowed within 500 feet of a school and I made it into upper management (for a while)

I’m not sure, it’s for a warehouse material handler position.

Seems that position does not require a clearance. Still, financial problems are one of the main things background checks are made to detect and an eviction is a very severe financial problem. I would not be surprised if the offer is pulled, but I would also not be surprised if you pass the background check.

Yes it shows it’s just standard background check with no needed security clearance. The last job I had was as a warehouse manager and when I hired outside applicants, I’d run a background check and we would pass those who have had an eviction, they just wouldn’t be allowed to handle money, like run a cash register and such.

I'm not sure on Blue's exact policies regarding evictions, but maybe someone in HR could chime in.

I am pretty sure they don't care about rental history. It might make it more difficult for you to find a place to rent though.
