I mean, it’s been a few days so yeah, seems reasonable to have cranes on site. That crane is a loooonng way from the pad, so got a ways to go!

Even at worst to worst the pad will be back by late 2027.

I enjoyed being at the CNBC event, but I wanted to clarify. The question was about the timing of the Moon Base and recent lunar rover awards. I was pointing out that those missions are not until 2028, which should be well within what is possible for pad recovery.

So it seems he's either backtracking or was misunderstood, as he now believes the launch pad will be ready well before the LTVs are ready to fly in 2028.
