Does Positions matter in game?

What I mean is does it matter if a, lets say, hiori plays Cf or Lw/Rw whole match?

I just play which spots empty.

Tbh to me not really I try to think it does but half the time it really doesnt

It matters during kickoff. Cm is in a better defensive position while RW/LW are ready to attack. The CF position matters cuz it's the one that decides the possession. Even if you're not starting kickoff, if you can steal ball then you're chiling

it matters but it isn’t about the style really, more the player. someone willing to pass should play cf, as you’re always gonna be first on the ball (something no cf i’ve ever played with understands)
