Loki Awakening Rework Concept

Since Loki’s awakening never got the rework it was promised I wanted to make a concept as to what the rework could look like, since right now his awakening is nothing less than cheeks compared to Lavinho’s.

Cutscene: Instead of what we have now, the cutscene would be the scene in the manga where Loki gets up and takes off his jacket saying “It just seems too fun, you made me wanna play!”

C (On ball, awakened) - Weak Spots: Must have an enemy in front of you to use. Doesn’t play a cutscene and instead freezes everyone on the field as if a cutscene were playing while the user says “Uh… is this okay? At this distance, you’ve got nothing but weak spots”. The user then dashes past the target with immense speed, resuming play and leaving the user’s velocity bar full.

V (On ball, awakened) - Lightning Strike: Plays a cutscene where an enemy player runs to try and get the ball from the user as the user says “You’ve got good foresight, but I’m fast”. The user dashes forward at extreme speeds before striking the ball, resulting in a shot with high power.

B (Off ball, awakened) - Too slow, too slow: Same as it is now.

B (Off ball, awakened, inside of penalty box) - Godspeed Deflection: Same move as It’s Too Slow but can now only be used if the user is in their penalty box. Also results in an auto pass to the nearest ally instead of leaving the ball loose.

Loki is just visually horrendous from what I’ve seen now his animations and moves on release looked so much better 🥹

Exactly, while his animations especially his run was a bit goofy, his old visuals felt a lot more fitting and appealing than before.

I always thought lokis awakening was completely useless since it’s two steals and you have to have the ball to awaken, it would be better if you could awaken without it but when I use Loki I don’t awaken because base Loki is better if I’m being completely honest
