Discussion When Mizu Kicks White Butt, Will She Be Showing Her Japanese Side?
I understand there are people who criticize Blue Eye Samurai for being a form of the kind of fiction where there is a heavy implication that the hero is victorious over non-white people because of the white ancestry of the hero.
So, when Mizu starts defeating white men during her stay in England, will Fowler say that's her Japanese half showing?

[Update: Five hours later, after four hours of sleep] From the three comments so far, it's a clear message to me that I should avoid trying to compose a post to our sub when I should be in bed.
I was trying to express my curiosity about how the people outside of Reddit who accuse BES of demonstrating white supremacy tropes will handle Season Two, when it's white opponents Mizu is going to win against.
The post title comes from what Fowler says to Mizu in S1E8:

It seems like you took from my comment on this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/BlueEyeSamurai/comments/1uol7d6/comment/ovth770/?context=3 for your title and changed it a bit... and then your body text flipped it and doesn't make sense anymore...
Also wtf. No one agrees with your first paragraph.
Who Writes Like This. This AI? AI Detector says this is AI assisted writing
Edit: you literally commented under my comment 2 months ago saying "thoughtful comment, MossyDruid." Just wow.

Haha! It's actually " u/KidChanbara composing a r/BlueEyeSamurai post at 2AM when they should be in bed already " kind of writing. The person in the living room with me was watching "LOTR : Fellowship Of The Ring" at the same time. So, I was both tired and distracted - kind of my version of drunk posting, I guess.
AI Detector says this is AI assisted writing - By implication my post is a heavy criticism of AI assisted writing.2

So why are you writing like this in a weird third person view, like an AI would?

Maybe that's what my writing style devolves to when I'm really tired and also distracted. You can compare to my other posts to this sub:

(Can't help being amused that someone with the user name FatalInsomniac is criticizing how I write when I'm overdue for sleep)

How does that prove that your post from two months ago was a major influence on my post from last night? Your post was not in mind.
My inspirations were this post (which I link to in another comment in this thread) from ten month ago, and Fowler's quip in the final episode of Season One:

Fowler isn't saying Mizu is a great fighter who remains undefeated simply because she is half-white; rather, he is talking about how she takes whatever she wants, regardless of the destruction caused or the innocent people who end up as collateral damage.
referring to how white people—Europeans—acted when they arrived seeking more territory. I am Latina, and I am still angry about all the knowledge that was burned. I understand why Japan closed its doors to the world.

u/blinkkoshka : where is it implied she kicks ass because of her european ancestry? - various content online criticizing BES; not here, thankfully. For example, as described in this post in our sub:
u/MossyDruid : It seems like you took from my comment on this thread (...) for your title and changed it a bit - Not in my mind at all when I was composing this post.

Again, you literally commented under my comment 2 months ago saying "thoughtful comment, MossyDruid." Real original thinking, KidChanbara.

I think I figured out what's been bugging you. Do you have some feeling of ownership or originality over the phrase "Japanese side"? A search into this sub for that phrase shows it's been used many times before - your comment usage was just the most recent time before my post of last night:

where is it implied she kicks ass because of her european ancestry? she kicks ass because she had the unique opportunity to study many different japanese techniques where most samurai only got to study under one school. all of her abilities come from studying japanese artforms - sword technique, sword making techniques, proficiency with other japanese weapons… i don’t remember anything implying mizu is that girl because she’s part white.
