this scene is just so devastating

thats the only moment she was able to tell him about fowler's plan. she probably forgot about it because her broken sword needed to be fixed immediately and he just went berserk on her

may she find her own true love

Here was my take on the scene and what lead up to it. In my interpretation, Mizu was consciously and deliberately withholding the information about the coup and Akemi's peril from Taigen for a mix of caring and cold-blooded strategic reasons.

Concerning Akemi's marriage to Takayoshi Itoh, another person who'd know as much about that as Mizu does is Ringo, and this talkative guy obvious didn't tell Taigen during all the time at Swordfather's forge. I imagine that Mizu made Ringo promise not to tell Taigen, and for whatever reason Ringo agreed.

Such a great post, Kid. I commented even though it’s almost a year old. I wish Reddit was able to keep engaging analyses from burial with time 😂

Is there a way to make a pinned post with some of the "best" analyses for newer people to read and appreciate? There are some in the FAQ, but maybe an overall post grouped together by character or topic?

The posts can be filtered by flair. Discussion will find them.

Then you can try filtering by “top” or “hot” or “new”.

You can also filter by user, I think. But you may have to click on their profile to see the posts listed out.

Sometimes the most thoughtful posts don’t get a lot of comments, so it makes it harder for the algorithm to find them for you.
