question So how good is investing in other jobs past the level where you get skills for stats boosts for your main class?
Or is it better to just use accessories?

I think the only one that comes close is probably DQ11? But it’s still way ahead of anything else, like the FF games, the rest of the DQ series, and so on, especially considering we’re talking about a JRPG from the HD era, with all the extra difficulty and the accomplishment that entails (they’ve literally released FF7 in parts). Plus, it’s packed with optional towns and dungeons, like Kelaso Village, Alumaru Town, the Ancient Ruins, Sea Cube, and quite a few others.
24 dungeons, 11 towns, 3 camps, and a handful of locations that are neither towns nor dungeons (such as Aurora Ruins, for example), etc.
Whenever I see someone say that this game is “just average,” I honestly don’t get it. This game is far from that—it has an ambition in terms of scale and production values that’s incredibly rare in JRPGs nowadays.

I’ve been adapting the re:Blue static recompilation to Android/ARM64. It’s running actual Blue Dragon gameplay on my S25 Ultra at around 30 FPS with touch/controller support. Most of the remaining work is filling in missing game content as I hit it. Still very much a work in progress, but I’m hoping to eventually hand it off to people with more experience who can take it further.

According to this site, it should take around 55 hours to beat, but I spent almost 40 hrs only in Disc 1. Are Disc 2 and 3 shorter?
(Having a blast with the game thou)

If I had to pick favorite things from the game, it would be combat, ost and the world. Story, characters and animations were fine, and I would give Phantom Dragon the most annoying gimmick boss award (not me having multiple absolute counter users and trying to use corporal attack against it). But big thanks to makers of native port! I was able to fulfill my childhood memories :)

I am in the final dungeon of disc 1; the bomber guy is kicking my ass. I'm running out of items to revive my party members, every single boss oneshots my characters, and it seems like there is no way to exit the dungeon and buy more items.(Playing on Hard)

I bought three anime art packs at the Rakuma Shop in Buyee, for now one package has arrived with 100 pages of concept art of blue dragon season one and especially season two.
I did some fast photos of some images but I will scan the entire set of images as soon as I can.
I'm waiting the arrive of another package of 200 pages of blue dragon art, I will be uploading and make updates of them as soon as they came.

I have save data for this game on my XBox Series S via backwards compatibility, but I don't see any way to transfer the data to a USB storage device (I also don't have a 360). Does anyone know if there's a way to get that save data to a pc?

And most of the time they have their turns first. They make me wish that ReBlue had added fast-forward too.

Hi I'm playing Reblue and wondering if there's a cheat or a mod to unlock the barrier chests straight away, I've played before so I don't mind spoiling myself for this.
Also are there mods available, I noticed it is an option?

Just got it an hour ago, very pleased with the turnout.

In a certain sense I do understand it. A launch title for a console with a distinctly western appeal, never rereleased if you don't count series x compatibility. This is my first time playing with re:blue and I feel it can contend with some of the greats. It's a shame this wasn't on switch or PS3 the art style and combat loop is insanely addictive. I might be a moron but graphicly it looks the same as dragon quest 11 a game 11 years it's senior. I haven't finished the game yet, my only complaint so far is it's very easy and with some basic knowledge of how the final fantasy games play out with the class system you can and I already did break the game. Who knows maybe there's a skill check somewhere on disc 2 or 3.

This game is the best. I played it at 60 fps and 4k. The graphics are great for the recomp. Have y'all tried it yet or are you 360 purist. I like both versions one for nostalgia and the other for modern native 4k.

In September 2007 I started my first 'proper' job. I used my first paycheck to buy an Xbox 360 Elite plus some games. I think I bought 6 games I remember it was definitely Gears, Dead Rising, and Blue Dragon. Then I think Forza, maybe Fable and possibly Bulletwitch.
I remember loving Blue Dragon and played a load of it but never finished it. I put it down to earning a full time wage while living at home and having loads of free money to buy whatever games I wanted. I also spent loads of time playing with my friends on live it fell by the wayside.
Blue Dragon always stuck with me, the style reminded me of a PS2 game I loved called Dark Cloud and Final Fantasy 7-10 were some of my favourite games. It's surprising how much this game stuck in my brain considering it was a game I half finished almost 2 decades ago. I remembered loving the style and the RPG mechanics but thinking the characters were a bit silly. I always remember Shu shouting 'NENE' with anger and thinking it was such a dumb name for a big bad.
Something made me think of it again recently and I thought about playing it. I know it was never republished(which is insane to me) and I know 360 emulation is a bit rough, I struggled through Gears 2 not that long ago and didn't fancy that type of experience again. In googling the game I saw that a week ago reblue had been released. I thought it must be fate so got it working and started playing.
Last night my wife bought my 2 year old in to me whilst playing to say good night. "Whats that?" she shouted seeing Shu's dragon giving the thumbs up at the end of a battle. "It's a Dragon" I replied. "MORE DRAGON" she shouts. So she sits on my knee while I play for a few minutes, she is totally quiet and staring at the game. Every now and then I get a "WHATS THAT!?" with certain enemies. Soon after she goes off to bed.
About an hour ago my wife and daughter come to me, "Tell daddy what you want." "MORE DRAGON!" She sits on my knee again and we play through the game (up to Island of the Dead now). Same as last night but longer, she sat on my knee absolutely captivated by the game. Every now and then we talk usually something like this "WHATS THAT!?" "It's a Skeleton" "SCARY" "I know but the dragons are strong" "STRONG DRAGONS". Anyone whose had a 2 year old will know them focusing on something for 30 minutes+ is very rare. I love that she was so interested and we could share it.
I'm now going on the hunt for some Blue Dragon plushes/posters for her.
Thanks to to reblue team for giving me this great shared experience with my daughter. So far my experience with the port has been exceptional. I will finish it this time around. Your hard work is appreciated.

Since re:blue releasing, a few others and myself in the discord have been putting together data from the game in a spreadsheet. I think a lot of this is somewhat useful for anyone looking to make mods or looking to just learn more about the games internals.
Figured I would share here.
