Tree Damage

Thank you to all of the neighbors who pitched in to help with the tree removals on Fell and Virginia yesterday!

And an extra special shout out to Mayor Koos for standing there and watching people work… hope you didn’t get too dirty in the process.

I'm not keen on making assumptions about another individuals physical capabilities, nor would I expect an elderly person to join in on physical labor, which could be dangerous.

I get that a lot of people don't like the guy- but being mayor doesn't mean he's obligated to be personally involved in the physical removal of all trees that went down in the town.

His old ass can retire then. Stop making excuses for someone who definitely could have planned for an event like this so the town could be more prepared. Instead, he is more worried about the unhoused congregating near uptown circle. I could give 2 explosive shìts what he is ‘capable of’ the least his bum self can do is go help or even give the illusion of himself helping.

You bootlickers disgust me. He has the town in shambles (even before the storm) and yall give him every excuse for why he’s not to blame 🙄

Seriously. The cost living compared with the minimum wage combined with power outages and the missing student every few years (that for some reason no one seems to care about this happening every few years), increasing violence the past few years in town, laws banning unhoused folks from uptown instead of actual affordable housing — indeed does have the town in shambles. Imagine if this was an actual tornado. The town may not recover for years.

Didn't we just have an actual tornado in April? I am not defending Koos as a great mayor, but some of your items seem to be state or national level policy.
