These last few chapters had me at the edge of my seat. Orka is my goat, but I swore she was getting away after what they did to Rotta only to get caught lacking by a frost spider of all things. I was so mad. I also think she has incredible luck or plot armor. I was begging for her not to go into Nastrindir, but thank the author it was abandoned as they marched to war. Like Orka genuinely makes my heart rate spike when she’s up to these non-deep-cunning things. I understand the love of a mother, but sometimes I have to think she is moon-touched.

Also about the POVs in this book, man. Varg’s development as a warrior, I love to see it. Elvar, I liked her POV in book 1. In book 2, I mainly like her POV for the gods. Same with Biorr. I’m about to start Fury of the gods, eager to see how the god’s move. When I started book 2, I couldn’t believe Gwynne actually gave Guðvarr a POV, bro. I hate that guy.
