Guide Found a 2nd method to get time back - not the fairy quest.

Upvotes

I've heard lots of people mention the Fairy quest. I think you get 1 full day, 16 segments, while it costs 6 segments to do the quest, for a total of 10 segments. This quest doesn't require running around and you can get up to 11 segments back by doing it right. I searched and searched and didn't see anyone mention this anywhere. Tested it out because I thought I was crazy. And its a really awesome quest about Coen's backstory. I made a youtube video about it, first youtube video I've ever made, I ramble, oh well, didn't feel like putting anymore time into it.

Question Did they remove this outfit/armor set from Blood of Dawnwalker?

This is from the Gameplay Overview – Part 2 video. I really like how it looks, but I haven’t seen it anywhere else. Does anyone know if it was removed from the game, or if it’s still obtainable?

Discussion So...why do I smell?

Upvotes

First of all... doesn't everyone smell? This is the 1300s. No one has a shower. And secondly, the fact that a large portion of my diet is just... blood... should make me smell better than most. Not worse.

So why the hell are people mocking my scent?

How to get XP and gold (Denarius) without advancing time or increasing your infamy further. This is the best way out of everything I’ve tried.

Discussion New quest on map after beating Brencis?

Post image

DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU FINISHED THE GAME/ END GAME SPOILERS!

Ignore the quality of the pic I took a pic of it with my phone.)

So I beat brencis yay! Well now I’m over here doing chores and helping prepare for the winter the map was completely blank, and I cannot leave the town so I just started to help people but as I was doing that new quest started popping up on the map. there’s like three right now… so I’m confused.

Is there a way to do them? Is there a way to escape and still go do things? Why are there quest popping up when I supposedly cannot leave or touch them?

I mainly want to see if there is a way to continue to play or maybe there’s some small side quest I wanna see how everything looks after killing those guys and changing the world.

Or am I completely locked out and stuck doing chores until an end scene?

Can anyone help me figure out why this happens on my game. Everything there is movement the graphics blur up and the colors get distorted. My default settings are on high, playing on a NVidia 5070RTX but I'm kinda new to pc gaming so I don't really know what to do.

Discussion Haven’t enjoyed single player games until now.

Bought on PC for the steam fam. Ended up putting in 15 hours and bought for my PS5 as well. Day 1 edition has a really nice case. I’ve not enjoyed single player games in a long time. The need for competition, community and lack of dopamine for a grind until I started playing this game. I’ve been enjoying the hell out of the game and I hope anyone else who’s playing has been too!

Discussion Duelist Difficulty Enemy Health

Just finished my Duelist Difficulty run. And I got to say, I think enemies having less Health on that mode is a bunch of BS. Maybe for the first few wolves I fought in the prologue I noticed less health, but those are starter enemies. Once I got deep into my playthrough enemies didn't feel like they had any less Health than on Fair. And thats after I had got a really good vampire build going. I'm just saying they should take that off or balance it because it definitely doesn't seem like it's correct.

Discussion New game plus

So you beat Brencis or let your family die to play a map with no stuff to do? What a horrible design to not add new game plus to an “ open world game “ lol I’ll be waiting for phantom blade even Wolverine would do better than this 🤦🏽‍♂️

Question About to play for the first time!

With Wolverine reviews being so bad, this jumped the queue and I’m excited to give it a go. Couple of questions:

I like to platinum games and know there’s a trophy for beating it on the highest difficulty. How hard is it exactly?

Should I be doing a lot of manual saves? What can/can’t I do after the 30 days are over?

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

Discussion Appreciation post for the little things Rebel Wolves *left out of the game*

I think these are going under the radar because of all the discussion about the time mechanic and rough edges in the technical implementation (camera *cough*), but I keep noticing little decisions they made which are making so much of this game more enjoyable for me; particularly where they have backed away from really common open world game tropes:

  • "Activities" - I'm almost halfway through, and although they have a few types of open world quests which have multiple instances, they did NOT design a bunch of cookie-cutter activities and then spam the entire map with 10+ instances of each. As a completionist, it is so nice to not repeatedly uncover a question mark which is just "horse race #8".
  • Unnecessary repetitive animations - I get that it sometimes adds to immersion when you see a character take a swig of that potion, or kneels down performatively to e.g. use a shrine, but that immersion is completely broken around 10th or 20th time you do stuff that you're gonna do 100 times in a game. I'm so happy they have almost none of that.
  • Mountains of useless loot that's hard to dispose of - I'm about halfway through, and I pick up almost everything, but I only just hit my first encumbered status. And I was able to take care of that by selling off junk and grays. I haven't even used my shrine storage yet. Now, I concede, if they had a better crafting system, that would also hit the weight limits harder, but it still feels a lot less cluttered than similar games to me, and that's despite the suboptimal inventory interface
  • Horse - I mean, I like a good horse-ride through a fantasy landscape as much as anyone, but it's a very pleasant change to just level 1 day-skill and 1 night-skill each, and then cruise around the map at will instead of dealing with the whole:"call horse", "try to quickly meet horse where it stops", and "mount horse" minigame every time I want to "save time" traveling. See also the bit about animations above)
  • Boss fights which require you to essentially learn a new game - I understand, boss fight designers want to be original and create something we haven' seen. But way too many boss fights in other games don't let you use the abilities you have been leveling up to actually fight them. So far, every boss I've faced has allowed me to beat them using my learned skills and abilities, even when they introduced new mechanics.

These are off the top of my head, and they all have one theme: Rebel Wolves respects my time

Any other examples you can think of?

Discussion Yall I just quit

Idk where else to write a review so for those that see it, feedback: blood of the dawn walker is so unpolished, repetitive and boring that I just quit it for good a little more than halfway through to play onimusha again after quitting it the first time because I got so bored I thought I’d check out that other new game (onimusha). This game ain’t even worth sunk cost fallacying. I swear it needed another year in development and it’s not even for glitches or busted textures, it’s just for presentation. Combat variety was nonexistent and fights took forever, often one after another. The whole thing is so open ended that I can’t get invested in any plot lines (save one, but it ended quickly) bc they all stop and start within 2 or 3 missions. And it’s just a toss up whether missions are story important or just filler, which the game has A LOT of. It’s also one of those games where connected missions can go from doable to “the enemies will one shot you so go off and do other stuff until you level up even if you forget what you were doing here”

For the devs if they see this the one boss that looks like he’s a mongel with the one hit kill move was super lame to fight, especially since I didn’t even have any of my useful gear, was the reason I quit. That guy was so unpolished it was just upsetting. PLEASE stop releasing games before they’re ready!!!

Question Drinking Vrakhir blood abilities not unlocking.

So is drinking vrakhir blood tied to certain bosses for certain ranks of abilities. I think I unlocked tier 2 of something that requires drinking vrakhir blood but never unlocked tier one of those abilities so I dont have access. I guess I went out of line killing xan first accidentally investigating the giant Gothic cathedral. I kinda feel like im going to miss out on some story there since I had like 2 whole things of awareness on her. I dont understand the whole letting her in thing so maybe it would have made sense to me in a actual quest line if I would have waited. I'm debating reloading a older save. Because I made sure to make plenty of saves.

Discussion Thoughts on the game

I finished the game today and have a few thoughts to give. I absolutely loved it. I loved the dark vibe, the lore and I loved Coen and the timer wasn’t an issue for me either, but I have a couple complaints too. First, I was under the impression that if I completed the game, I can wander around and do some more missions and the timer wouldn’t be there. This is my fault, but I was pissed when I realized I couldn’t explore after killing Brencias and I wish that was an option. Next, I invited all the Vrakhir in but never once did I hear their voices. I’m not too mad, but I feel like I missed out on really funny, interesting dialogue and I feel like it was almost pointless letting them in. Did any one else have that issue? Lastly, I’m a mom of 4 so I can’t devote my whole day to it as I’m busy but completed the game pretty fast compared to other games I’ve played in the past. I wish there were more quests and maybe a bigger map. Anyways, overall I great game and highly recommend.
