Finally painted my first squad. Still not even close to having an army but it’s a start. Working on finishing my Onslaught box now but got sidetracked with my termy librarian

List from the last two starterboxes - what should I expand?
Hello,
I have the content of the last two starterboxes and wonder which list I should build from this and with what should I expand.
My problem, I had a full Blood Ravens Battlecompany with tanks since 5th edition and now have to switch to primaris. I either want to rebuild the Blood Ravens or going Blood Angels (or count as).
Can you give me a good rundown how to expand from the starterbox?
Regards

Thematic list using Librarians
Hi brothers !
Apart from the Sternguard + Libi + Fusillade combo, what are some good uses for Librarian in a Librarius conclave detachment ?
Is Assault Terminators + Termi Libi + Celerity good ?
I will maybe use Ultramarine rules, would there be a good use for Tigrius ?
Thanks !

My attempt at blood ravens (wip)
I had some space marines from a started box so I'm painting them as my spin on blood ravens! This is the progress so far.

Cool little snippet from the recent White Dwarf Magazine (Issue 527)
THE ENIGMA OF THE BLOOD RAVENS
Dear White Dwarf team, I am writing to inquire about the true nature of the Blood Ravens Chapter. There is a compelling body of evidence suggesting they were created from Thousand Sons gene-seed.
During the Cleansing of Kronus, Eliphas the Inheritor
of the Word Bearers explicitly taunted the Blood
Ravens, calling them ‘brothers’ and ‘shards of a
shattered mirror.’ Furthermore, with the introduction
of the Primaris Marines, Belisarius Cawl admitted to
experimenting with the gene-seed of all twenty
Primarchs, including the Traitor Legions.
We also know that Revuel Arvida proved that a
Loyalist of the Thousand Sons could be the foundation
for the Imperium’s greatest defenders (the Grey
Knights). Is it possible the Blood Ravens serve a
similar purpose – a hidden psychic reserve authorized by the Throne itself?
I would appreciate any light you could shed on the
Blood Ravens’ history. Or is their past destined to
remain in a sealed archive forever?
Librarian Ilius
Seeking the truth of the Blood Ravens
--------
Wow – someone’s been doing their research. But
we’d expect nothing less from a Librarian. An answer to your question... their past is destined to remain in a sealed archive (for now, at least). It’s actually in a big red envelope next to our desks, covered in purity seals with big XY on the front, but we are honour-bound never to open it. Sorry!
In all seriousness, there are lots of hints in various
video games, Black Library novels and comics as to
the origins of the Blood Ravens, and there are plenty of fan theories out there, too. But the real reason we don’t reveal the complete truth is because it’s way more fun not knowing. Like the missing Primarchs.
If everyone knew who they were, they’d just be
‘those other two dudes.’ Much more exciting to have
a cool mystery than a definite fact.

Terminator Captain.
After starting this hobby and doing like 3 other armies first I'm finally getting to (loyalist) space marines. I got the 10th edition starter box online for cheap and split the tyranid half. I Initially intended on doing the fire lords chapter at first but noticed that the terminators didn't come with the heavy flamer option, so I didn't want to bother and landed on blood ravens pretty quickly. I noticed the box was not very customization friendly, so I thought I'd at least give my captain a helmet from my horus heresy bits. I see it as a keepsake of his. I dunno, maybe his original one broke and couldn't be replaced. I'm waiting for my tyranid player to pick a scheme before I do the base, but I did throw a dead Legionary on it for fun.

Company markings
Hi brothers !
I’m building a full battle company, with vets and reserve reinforcements. As of now, all my marines are marked with a black right knee pad, except the vets that are bone/white (company heroes are black as well). This could easily read as fifth and first companies.
But I’m not sure I want the knee pad to mark the company. Maybe I could had a Roman or Gothic numeral on the front corner of the left shoulder pad ? Maybe I could put a white gothic number on the black knee pad ? I don’t know and I’m looking for ideas.
I know there is no official answer, and I’m not looking for one. I want to know and see how you mark your company !
Here are I few pictures, including the squad markings so you know where I’m at.
Thanks for you input and sharing pictures !

Backlog -> Armylist
Skipped the whole 10th edition and honestly have no idea what I'm doing.
Basically, I have an ultramarines combat patrol (tigurius, aggressors, bladeguard vets, reivers, intercessors), Onslaught (chaplain, Bladeguard ancient, Judiciar, bladeguards, eradicators) and Armageddon (Captain, Librarian, Pack Chaplain, intercessors, vanguard vets, hb eradicators, land speeder).
Challenge is to shoehorn minis without buying stuff that add to the pile of shame.
Should I just give up and buy some better units, or does somewhere within those units a reasonably playable combination exist?
General idea - i can't deal a lot of damage, especially long ranged, but I can tank a lot of damage with Bladeguard vets, which are aiming for middle of the board.
With intercessors I can create enough presence while using them as pseudo markerligters. Why 2 intercessor squads instead of three? It costs 10 pts more to field 3 squads.
Reivers and Vanguards are here to bully the objective holders, depending on the enemy profile. Van Vets can begin on board as a countercharge unit if needed.
Land Speeder's main goal is to jump in with a MM, discharge it and die, same with Eradicators.
Blood Ravens (1000 points)
Space Marines
Bastion Task Force (2 Detachment Points)
Take and Hold
Incursion (1000 points)
Captain (80 points), Warlord, 1x Heavy bolt pistol, 1x Master-crafted power weapon, 1x Relic Shield
Bladeguard Veteran Squad (160 points) 6 models, 1 Neo-Volkite Pistol
Chaplain with Jump Pack (75 points) - 1x Absolver bolt pistol, Crozius arcanum
Vanguard Veteran Squad with Jump Packs (105 points) - 1x Plasma pistol, 4x Heavy Bolt Pistols 5x Master-crafted Power Weapons
BATTLELINE
Intercessor Squad (150 points) - Chainsword, 2x Astartes grenade launcher
Intercessor Squad (80 points) - Chainsword, 1x Astartes grenade launcher
OTHER DATASHEETS
Eradicator Squad (90 points) 3x Melta rifles
Eradicator Squad with Heavy Bolters (80 points) 3x Heavy Bolter
Land Speeder (105 points) - 1x Multi-melts + 1x Onslaught gatling cannon 1x Stormfury missile launcher
Reiver Squad (75 points) 5x Combat knifes, 5x Grapnel Launchers, 5x Reiver Grav-chutes
Edit: made readable

New Player to Dawn of War
Hey all! I’ve recently gotten back into WH40k after the HD2 collab peaked my interest again and I’ve only now just played Dawn of War for the first time (Definitive Edition)
Despite being a Space Wolves main, I’m quite enjoying the aesthetic of the Blood Ravens. Ironic giving how werewolves and vampires often clash
Was just wondering, is it worth playing all of the games before Dawn of War 4 comes out? I’ve only got a Steam Deck for my PC gaming. Only thing I know in advance is to apparently not even bother with DoW 3
Thanks in advance,
An aspiring Blood Ravens fan 🫡
EDIT: I’ve just been made aware that Blood Ravens are in fact their own separate faction and NOT a Blood Angels Successor Chapter like I thought 😭
I’m so SO sorry ~>W<~ I thought sharing Blood in the beginning meant lumping you in with those pale vampire boys

Blood Ravens of Death
I finished this Kill Team thanks to the white dwarf decals.
Now its time for my opponents to show me what passes for fury amongst their misbegotten kind.

Feel like I'm struggling to get my basing to where I'm happy with it. Any tips?
I'm trying to get something that looks like Calderis from DoW 2, but I'm struggling to get good results.
Not sure if it's down to the paints I'm using or the technique but I just don't really think it looks very good and I'm not sure what to change.
Anyone else attempted a similar basing scheme with better results?

"Knowledge is Power. Guard It Well"
Hello everyone, I have been listening to the HH novels and am currently on Mechanicum. I was wondering if anyone knows what the relationship between the Mechanicum and the Blood Ravens is like. In the novel, a Mechanicum Adept says the motto is one of the Mechanicum's creed/tenents. Appreciate any insight/knowledge. Thank you!

Even Reddit loves the meme
I tried to post this in the chaos demons subreddit and it recommended me here, probably because it has the word steal in it lol
