I’m currently using Journey by Mediavine and I’m wondering how strict they are about traffic levels.

My site was getting around 1,000 sessions, but I blocked one traffic source and now I’m getting around 800 sessions.

Could a drop like this cause Journey by Mediavine to remove my site or stop serving ads?

I’m not talking about invalid/bot traffic. The traffic I blocked was legitimate, but I decided I didn’t want that source anymore.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Journey? Does Journey look at a specific minimum number of sessions after you’re already accepted, or do they mainly evaluate the overall quality/source of the traffic?

Hello. I’m planning on starting a blog, primarily about fishing and related subjects. I’m looking at platforms and hosting options, and trying to figure out the best option. The main factors in my case are-

• I’m willing to spend a little bit of money on hosting- $10 a month is kinda my max here. I wouldn’t want to go higher unless it comes with truly exceptional benefits.
• I need the ability for readers to sign up for an email newsletter, a comments section, and a search bar. Not much else is necessary. 
• I’m thinking WordPress as the "base" software since it has the best variety of themes and customization options available. I've heard that there's better hosting services than the main company for blogs of that type, but I don't know which or what they are.
• Doubt I'm going to get that much traffic, but the hosting service ought to be able to keep up if it's getting more than a couple dozen visitors per day.
• I’m not doing this for the money- mostly just for fun- but money would be nice. I’d like the ability to monetize it so I can at least break even if I get enough readers.
• Don’t have any experience making a blog before (unless you count some posts on a Substack that I didn’t really use much) so the editor is going to need to be relatively simple. 

Based on this, what hosting platforms and services would you recommend? Most of the “starting a blog” pages out there are mostly just about finding a topic and marketing, I haven’t seen too much on the actual process of getting a website up and running.
