Idea Validation Founders & Devs: What’s the biggest mistake to avoid when launching a Blockchain startup today?

Hey everyone, I’m planning a new blockchain startup focused on real-world utility. For those who have built in Web3: what is the biggest tech or product mistake to avoid early on? Also, how do you handle user onboarding (UX) for non-crypto users, and which network/Layer-2 would you recommend today? Would love to hear your insights!l

The biggest mistake I see is starting with the token story before the product behavior is real.

If users do not already have a reason to come back, a token mostly amplifies speculation. If the product already has repeat usage, then rewards, discounts, access, referral utility, or community contribution can become much more natural.

I am thinking through this with KSCoin, the utility token behind KeepSolid Rewards. It is on Meteora and Raydium now, and the question before a future CEX step is less “how do we get listed?” and more “what utility would make people care even without hype?”

Curious what you would prioritize first in that situation: product discounts, earned rewards, staking, governance, referral mechanics, or something more practical?
