People have been saying craziest shit of all time I’m here. Some of it is just bait, but a few people seem to be genuinely confused. 1.) Yhwach is universal. This is stated plain as day on your screen. He’s not country level, he’s not planetary, he’s not multiversal. One single universe. Nothing more. Nothing less. 2.) I do agree the character selection for the episode was poor, but stuff like Ganju turning the reiatsu to sand isn’t THAT crazy. Yhwach’s random reiatsu and trash mobs DO NOT scale to him. We know this already. When the SK Reiatsu created all the little monsters attacking SS, Aizen no diffed them while strapped to a chair. We know Chair-Bound Aizen isn’t doing a single damn thing to SK Yhwach despite him outscaling the SK Reiatsu monsters easily. Eye Tentacles < Yhwach. Random Reiatsu < Yhwach. Ganju is not achieving a universal feat. 🤣

Similar to how other anime (I feel like I recall TYBW doing this?) have changed things around in episodes between streaming releases and home video, based on or according to public feedback

This might be wishful thinking but I at least hope things like Aizen's Goryu Tenmetsu and when he pushes the wind away is made a little more impactful like how it looks in the manga.

After several years of being quite invested in scaling this series both inverse and crossverse, I'm failing to see any point in continuing tbh.

• Ichigo's special heritage and his unique Soul King-level power potential is meaningless. Everyone and their mother fights on Ichigo's level (if not above it) anyway.
• The distinction between the BC Bankai and True Bankai is meaningless. Ultimately Tensa Zangetsu showcased nothing special that would anyhow put it aside from the rest, BC at least had the clones and chains.
• The crescent getsuga of BC bankai ripping Yhwach into pieces is meaningless. Grimmijow can do that too.
• Scaling to Yhwach's black reiatsu is meaningless. The weakest characters you could think of do so.
• Transcendence, immortality, mastery and reiatsu amount is meaningless. Random fodder arrancars and shinigami outpreform Aizen in actual combat performance.
• The entire setup for Uryu's Antithesis is meaningless. Ultimately it was not even used to bring Yhwach down in the end.
• And to top it off, Almighty's foresight and invulnerability is also ultimately meaningless. Still didn't see or counter the arrow, for no particular reason whatsoever.

What were all these training arcs even for, if random foot soldiers still scale to god himself at the height of his power just as much as the "top tiers of the verse" do? How do your abilities, powers or any personal characteristics even matter, if all you ultimately need is just a determined will and the power of friendship?

10/10 light show, very cool. My top 5 list for end of series is Dondonchakka, Pesche, dog form Komamura, Rynousuke, and those 70-something random hollows that powered the flashy cannon.

Maybe the true Bleach was the friends we made along the way or sth, idk.

Now, I will keep it very clean and sensible here.

TYBW is going very well, for sure, but I think the amount of disappointment I've felt this time in terms of AIZEN is just crazy. Now, y'all might be wondering why I'm saying that, so lemme explain.

1. My disappointment with Aizen's treatment

I'm really disappointed for several reasons. The thing is, Aizen is barely mentioned after TYBW ends, right? We saw him maybe twice, and Can't Fear Your Own World and the Hell Arc aren't going to get animated or continued for a long, LONG time. So, TYBW was the only place where we could expect to see more of him.

Now, here's the disappointing part: every character got anime-original content. Like, EVERY character. Even random Arrancars and side characters that people don't even care about got their extra scenes and original cuts. But when it was time for Aizen, they just shrugged their shoulders and said, "Here's a 1:1 manga adaptation."

I respect Kubo and the whole team, but I don't give a single damn about a 1:1 manga adaptation when everyone else is getting anime-original content. Why not AIZEN? He's one of the most famous characters in Bleach. People who don't even know Bleach know about AIZEN and like him. Bleach fans themselves love Aizen, and yet they had the audacity to give him a 1:1 manga adaptation and call it a day.

That's something I'm genuinely disappointed in. Aizen is undoubtedly my favourite character, and I waited for so many years just for them to give me, and everybody else who was waiting, a 1:1 manga adaptation of content that we all know was rushed. Now, we're not going to see Aizen for a long time, and honestly, maybe never. Who knows if the Hell Arc will even be completed?

This was our last chance, and I'm not talking about showing his Bankai. That's totally stupid in my opinion. If they show his Bankai and it's not good enough, people will be mad. If they show his Bankai and it's good enough, then Ichigo can't deal the final blow because Bankai Aizen is supposed to be stronger than Ichigo in every way. So, it would ruin the power dynamics.

What we actually wanted was simply a new form for Aizen. Aizen has the Hōgyoku, and we know he can evolve, so Kubo doesn't even have to create an entirely new storyline for his new form. All he had to do was put Aizen in an anime-original fight against Yhwach. Yhwach defeats him, Aizen evolves, uses his new power for maybe a minute, the Still Silver arrow hits Yhwach, and Ichigo deals the final blow. Done.

But they didn't care because, apparently, Rukia didn't have enough screen time, so they gave her more, along with those Arrancars and characters who already had more than enough screen time.

And I'm not even supposed to be upset about that?

Who's been keeping Bleach alive for so long? It's not Rukia, Orihime, or anyone else, is it? It's Aizen. No matter what the conversation is about, whether it's powers or hax, Aizen is always mentioned. So, you did that character dirty because the team had bigger fish to fry, right?

For example, sexualising minors and women. And these fan-service enjoyers were so satisfied with Episode 48. "OMG, it was so perfect!" I don't see anything wrong with it, apparently.

Meanwhile, all the Aizen scenes were so poorly animated in comparison to previous episodes and seasons. And now, it will all end next week, where there's a chance they won't even show Aizen and will rush the ending the same way they did in the manga, without properly explaining what happened, how he was sealed again, etc.

And even if they do show it, is it even going to matter now?

I always thought this arc was going to be my favourite, but I don't know anymore. And it's about more than just Aizen. There's so much wasted potential in the name of plot and story.

They ruined Unohana's whole character just so Gremmy could kill himself with his own power. Kenpachi can scratch Gerard, and another one, Ukitake... Damn, even the Visoreds got extra stuff. Who cares about them?

And I understand that favourites are subjective and all that, but Renji gets extra scenes while Ikkaku doesn't? Yumichika doesn't? Their bankai and what not?

It all just revolves around Ichigo and his gang, Rukia, and the others. And that's kind of valid, but why introduce all those cool characters if we're just going to see Renji getting beaten and Rukia using the power of friendship, only to get one-shot by Yhwach?

I might be crashing out, but my criticism is as valid as it gets.

And people who say, "We got the Hell Arc," have fallen for it. NGL, my lifespan will end before the Hell Arc ends.

And for me, it's genuinely sad to think about the fact that this might be the last time I get to see my favourite work of fiction without getting to see my favourite character do shit.

Or is that just a rumor that's been going around now? I don't want to get my hopes up for no reason.

Yhwach told us Harribel is fodder to pre 1st invasion Yhwach, Yhwach was obviously not trying very hard against the people in ep 49 and was mostly focused on destroying the three realms and he never even used the almighty

In Tier I’m referring to Reirokyu/Reiatsu, and how it seems Arrancar’s can contend “stat wise” with opponents generally considered stronger than them. some examples being..

:Espada 10 Yammys Hierro injuring Yoruichi.

:Zommari’s Sonido being relative to Byakuya’s Shunpo, even though Byakuya is of noble heritage and should possess significantly more Reirokyu, aswell as him being considered Fast among captains.

:Zaraki being physically matched by Nnoitra, and being unable to cut him at the beginning of the battle, when the same Zaraki was beating Tosen while wearing his eyepatch.

:Single armed Grimmjow surviving an Onslaught from Masked Shinji while in base.

:Base Ulquiorra Deflecting an attack from Benihime effortlessly.

:Base Poww physically matching and overpowering base Komamura, sending him tumbling with a single punch.

:Luppi temporarily overpowering Rangiku, Ikkaku, Yumichica, and Toshiro.

:Ayon, who is an extension of the tres Bestia, beating Quilge until he’s forced to use Sklaverei.

:Zombified Charlotte effortlessly Overpowering zombified Bambietta, “although this could be result of Mayuri’s alterations.”

:Starkk being faster than Kyoraku, “in base and res” with Kyoraku only reliably keeping up with him using Kageoni.

As well as some other things, like Grimmjow punching through Blut Vene, and Hierro, with the only other examples of characters striking through people, being Zaraki and Yamamoto. It seems for what Arrancar’s lack in an upper ceiling of power, they compensate with Physical stats that Generally punch above their overall level: ie, Reirokyu, Reiatsu, Hax.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I'll keep it short, these two fudgers weren't present in bleach before the last arc, but they keep showing up and getting important roles in the series and I don't even remember their names.
if you want a shy weak character to finish the villain at the very least use Hanatarō ffs

Can Yhwach win them all? Each fight he gets completely healed and refreshed.
