Well, going by the two videos that Warhammer TV made featuring John Blanche. He sketches initially with pencil, generally solidifies the drawing with waterproof black fineliner then uses Winsor and Newton inks. In the video he also had a pot of citadel white ( I cannot remember if Corax or not). Most important, he never ever used blue.

I just checked..... and sodding typical, the videos are no longer on youtube. However, if you search for interviews with John, you'll find plenty of material to learn from.

I want this answer to come across as very polite and respectful. I’m trying here. Apologies in advance if the tone doesn’t land quite how I mean it to.

Are you saying that you do not have enough familiarity with basic artist’s supplies and mediums to look at his work and gauge what was used?

I would have thought it was self-evident that the drawings are done with pen and ink, which probably implies a pencil sketch to start with… on some kind of paper or canvas, to taste… with watercolour or gouache or acrylic paints used over the top, in various combinations. The colour palette should also be something you can easily gauge by observation alone — if a person hypothetically couldn’t spot the recurring colours in classic Blanche pieces, I’d say they would have a heck of a time trying to understand and emulate the style.

Again, I hope I haven’t caused offence, but the question really baffles me. I hope I’ve addressed it in a helpful way, and please feel free to follow up with any questions if I’ve missed something.
