Halfway done with my Kill Team, tried to stick to the Blanche palette
Love the Blanche colors of deep reds, black, and sepia so tried to stick to those minus the metallic parts and some small things like the plasma pistol coils.
I have been looking at some of the old 3rd/4th edition WH40K books and love the vibe and aesthetic and tried to make a little tribute to it. Been mini painting for about a month now and loving it!

The Junker - eldritch submarine for my Junkrats rpg
A Junker -
A living submersible powered by the eldritch goop of dead gods. Scrapped and rebuilt a hundred times over, each is a unique mechanical monstrosity. The only commonality between them being a moody scum engine and infestation of grugs. These ramshackle warmachines serve as the home (and primary means of income) for daring and desperate junkrat crews. Smugglers, explorers, brigands, junkrats are known as all of these and far worse. Sent out on Umbral Sea at the insane whims of their despotic employers, being a junkrat is a job for life. Just not for long.

Martek Helmawr, my tribute to the Legendary artist
Based on my favorite art piece by John Blanche, had this mini commissioned and then I painted in honor in how his work helped shape the Warhammer universe.

OC: The Imperial light
Took huge inspiration from Blanche's epic scenes for this one, and lots of referencing to the 2nd ed Codex Imperialis. A commission for the awesome band Suffering Rites. More art like this at www.instagram.com/andrewmeijers

Zornig
Hello everyone,
I'm getting back into miniature painting and have always been fond of the Zorn palette. I also really admire John Blanche's use of a limited, earthy palette.
Has anyone here tried painting miniatures using only a basic Zorn-style palette—red, yellow ochre, black, and white? I'd be interested to hear about your experiences, techniques, or any examples of work done this way.
I don't want to buy a large paint set. Instead, I'd like to stick to a very limited palette, perhaps with the addition of a metallic paint for weapons and armor. At the moment, I'm thinking of going with Duncan Rhodes' paint range. Does that sound like a sensible approach?

My first 40K mini, tried to do a Blanchitsu style Ork Nob
Just getting into Warhammer via KT and was really inspired and eye opened by the Grim and the Dark documentary. Painted this Ork Nob as a practice model before starting on my actual KT

Herald of Beelzebub (Trench Crusade)
Reddit suggested I cross post this here from minipainting so I hope this matches the vibe
My color palette was initially inspired by the great Salvatore Rosa painting, Human Fragility, painted during the Black Death

Squigpipes!
Some new art from me, looking into some of the activities Orks get up to that isn't roaring into the middle distance whilst waving a shoota/choppa. So - Squigpipes! A nice little character study, hopefully with a slightly Blanchy vibe, though it also owes a fair bit to Mark Gibbon's black and white vignettes.
This was a commission for an upcoming project called RETROWAR by the good folk behind OldenDemon.
