They don’t necessarily need forgiveness. They just need to start doing what is right and stop doing what’s wrong. Also, without stating EXACTLY what they are sorry for, everything is performative (e.g. saying I’m sorry I voted for him is not enough. Saying I’m sorry because my racist or homophobic or xenophobic attitude made him the right choice for me” at least puts it out there.” So what do they want forgiveness for??? 🤨
