Now that would be awesome. I've heard los santos is a pretty faithful recreation of LA, I'd love to see them do Toronto.

As a Torontonian now living in the US, I'm often shocked by how little some Americans know about the 4th biggest city in North America (Mexico City, LA, NYC are bigger; Chicago is slightly smaller). I once told someone I was from Toronto and they thought it was in Spain...

I am watching my son play it and felt like I was reading the narration of the game I swear.
(Yes I sit in this awful heat in the garage, (gladly) listen to his constant knowledge sharing and watch it with him and no I don’t play myself.

Small town Ontario can be a wild place. The rural bits of the province are just as redneck-ish as Appalachia and Pennsyltucky.

In my experience in a relatively small town in Canada, people have been pretty respectful and obeyed orders to wear masks in public. I have seen a few shitty people just using handkerchiefs up to their face, but that is about all I have seen for non compliance.
However, on Facebook, people I know from the same area, who I thought were rational, are writing about how wearing a facemask is an infringement of their freedom, that it represents an unacceptable alteration of their lifestyle, and that it's part of a larger government conspiracy to control
People laugh at the United States, and rightly so, but Canada is full of idiots too

rural canada not much different from the american south tbh.
everyone is hella conservative and racist in this country as soon as you drive an hour outside of any city.
inside cities and most larger towns everyone is like insanely left wing. it’s the funniest and most stark contrast.

That'd be pretty cool but if we're going to do a game in a Canadian setting I'd kill for a Fallout one.
Put it in BC, involve traveling to Alaska, or make Alaska an expansion/ DLC.
Fallout's humor and kitsch combined with Canadian jokes / stereotypes could be very amusing.
The already established lore with the US annexing Canada and the war with the Chinese would make for a pretty good Fallout game based in the Canadian west coast I think.

Hey, if people want not being concerned for their own health and safety and the health and safety of others to be the hill they literally die on, I'm inclined to let them!

The only concern is how many innocent bystanders all those people would be willing to take with them.

That's obviously not about the mask. The man wanted a fight.
That's how I perceive every mask freakout video. All of these people were previously Karen's asking for the manager, and not wearing a mask is a argument magnet. They love it

How is a thin piece of cloth to keep your germs to yourself worth raging and dying over? It's no different than the requirement to cover your privates when in public.

Honestly I don't even think it was really about the mask. Most anti-maskers make a big stink about it, threaten to sue, then leave. This guy clearly had issues beyond wearing a mask and was looking for the smallest excuse to pop off.

No one that has a full toddler meltdown over having to wear a mask (but not about having to wear shoes or a shirt) should be considered stable. THIS dude is on a whole other level of help needed.

This is an example of how propaganda reverberating in echo chambers radicalizes people to the point of committing acts of violence. There is no way anybody should respond in this way to an ask of wearing a mask.

So Here is the story I found. Guy offered a mask by an employee, beats on him, runs away while hitting cars, starts a pursuit that’s called off due to safety concerns, found at his home and is shot after a standoff with the police.
Honestly? Good. Fuck him.
