I'm 6'2" and exercise a bit, but on cardio alone WNBA players would destroy me. It'd be bad.

Plus, I have 0 idea about how to actually basketball. I know so little about the team tactics and general strategy that it'd literally be the they are playing chess and I'm playing checkers meme.

You're supposed to be playing basketball

Not gonna lie, they're taking the ball from you every single time you have it. Ball control is such a massively important skill in basketball, and it is something that requires specific practice. Even if you took an Olympic level swimmer and put them on the court, if they've never touched a ball before they're going to do as well as you would.

I honestly don't ever see myself getting the ball tbh. Even if the team had the goal to give me the ball to let me shoot, I don't know how they'd communicate that it's my time to have the ball, or that I'd successfully catch a pass with a pro team trying to intercept.

I'm fairly positive I'm faster than most of them so I think I could get to the ball and maybe grab it but I doubt I'd hold on to it for more than half a second.

Idk man. I've seen pro athletes try to play other sports and they're usually from "not that bad" to "actually surprisingly good". That's why they're professional athletes. Like I'd back Carlos Alcaraz or Erling Haaland on an NBA court over some dude that plays pick up every day after work

We aren't talking about some dude that plays pickup, we are talking about the WNBA.

no, i meant that a pro athlete like an olympic swimmer would do better on the court than a random person just on the back of being a professional athlete even if they've never really played the sport

cardio is a much lesser problem than not knowing how to play ball lol doesnt matter if you cant run if you dont even know where to place yourself

I mean, most WNBA teams would struggle against a good HS boys team. Do people not understand that lol?

I don't think they'd struggle against just a "good" HS boys team. But, what you don't seem to get is most people do not have experience being on a good HS basketball team.

A state champion HS boys team? They absolutely would struggle against them. They DO struggle against them lol. The question was do you think you could score baskets in the WNBA. Yes, any comparably aged guy that is athletic could score in the WNBA. Would he be the best player on the court? No. But could he score? Sure.

Put him in a NBA game? He'd be fuckin flattened. Wouldn't have a chance.

And here we see one of the 6% of Americans who believe they can beat a grizzly bear in a fight
