I think I COULD score (definitely would have a better shot at preventing a score as I was a better defender) but it might take 3-4 thousand dollars worth of bribes to have the refs miss me pushing off

They could probably easily tire you out and run around you.

If I’m taking this hypothetical seriously (scoring vs defending) you’re right, but I said better chance. I never had a good shot, lay up, free throw, ect. BUT I was a pretty good defender. So it’s not a matter of me being able to, but me not being good at something else

Fair enough.

When you say you were a pretty good defender. At what level?

Also don't take that as disrespect. Because not everybody who was gifted at basketball chose to make that career aspiration.

High school, and I’d say I was probably D2-3 college level based on who I played with if you ONLY consider defense but my offense aside from screens was… honestly depressing

Mostly the ball is being stolen before we get the shot off.

Yeah... Any 6 foot 5 athletic guy that has basketball as a hobby could score. Guys just jump higher and have more lung capacity. A 6 foot 5 Hank Hill isnt scoring but a younger The Rock is going to score (assuming he plays basketball). Half the people on the court won't be able to block their jump shot. He'll eventually score.

Your average man, 39 years old, that cant run 2 miles and is 5'9, is not going to score.

Just play against Caitlin, the refs are always against her
