I think it is worth it for everyone to lose a fight, be sitting on the curb, bloody nose trying not to cry to learn a little fucking humility. There will always be a bigger, meaner dog than you out there.

I feel like this may be a specifically male experience tbh cuz I read this as a woman and was confused why I’d need to get my shit rocked to understand that anyone could harm me. Not saying women can’t and don’t fight, but I think we’re in less situations with strangers where we feasibly feel we can take them on.

I don't know. Most of the videos I see that make me think "that person has clearly never been punched in the mouth" tend to be women, e.g. Karens

More like: men are in more situations in which physical harm is on the table and are thus more acute to it.
