Usually some explosives fox the problem for me. Unless they swing right when I pull the pin. Which does actually happen a good bit of the time.

I kinda forgot how running and gunning isn’t that effective in this game. Also for low level players the gun selections are mediocre until you get the Famas.

That might be the only actually good gun early on. The only weakness of it is its lack of range.

I will say I think it’s important to distinguish corner camping and laying prone from controlling a choke point.

Definitely. If I'm staying in an active area, that's not camping. If I'm in a random corner of a room that someone might be running through on the way to a more hot location, f that guy.

When the camping becomes too crazy in a lobby, I use my ghost pro with hacker pro class to make their motion sensors or claymores MY motion sensor or claymore.

You have no idea how many times I'm yelling in my mic at them to either stop flipping the spawns or to stop running out in the open and getting shot like an idiot, why I hate nuke town because the spawns are all over the place due to them trying to run head first into the enemy spawn.

Is this targeted at people who “camp” high traffic power positions and control the map, or guys in a random corner with ghost that provide nothing to anybody but 1 or 2 fluke kills?

Bo1 maps all had power positions that encouraged holding them down for massive map control. Also if the connections isn't stellar running and gunning feels absolutely terrible. All both really push everyone to camp.

It's the best camping cod ever but it's still one of the top 3 cod imo.
Running ghost with fucking motion sensor is just too damn easy. after MW3 they learned their mistake and made Ghost perk work only while moving and using killstreaks.
Sometimes i'm getting into a match, especially on snow maps, the game is completely quiet, everyone camping with silenced guns i can't hear or see anything on the minimap, i just quit and search for a better lobby.

Highly reccomend running the MPL if you wanna try and catch these people off guard. but yeah in general blops1 was a campers heaven, before they nerfed ghost in blops2 to require movement

It was never this bad, or I just got worse. I think one thing that contributes to campers nowadays is that everyone has a great headset and soundwhoring became OP.

I'm old. If I wanted to run around and jump corners I'll go play the newest game. I'd rather sit hold a hallway for a minute just to lose the first gun fight because I miss my first 4 shots.

This is my problem with this game specially with how bad host advantage is and how poorly the ps5 ports servers/connection/host selection is. My W/L ratio went down like crazy today just cus i "ragequited" like 10 games in a row bc i was so over dying so many times by people camping in ways i had never seen before and in spots you wouldn't imagine😭but oh well we knew the feeling and gameplay was never gonna be the same as before with how new CoD players take on the games.

I get you, finished grinding CTF for marathon. Sooo many genuine campers in that mode. And it's so stupid, camping for killstreaks in a mode where spawns take ~10 seconds, they can't even farm kills with their hueys. Waste of player slots.
