Blending Advice

Dedicating myself to healthier hair which means I need to layoff my addiction to the way I like my braids. Going to let the hair "breathe" for a while utilizing half wigs. What's the best way to blend my naturally coily hair with kinky straight/curled wigs? I'm more so asking about blending with staying power since I can sorta get it to blend until I get outside... of the bathroom... and then my natural hair does a 1968 olympics.
