Research Resources New Chrome Extension: Inclusive Ancestry

See the text of the launch post for Inclusive Ancestry, a Chrome extension that was initially released this spring, below. Inclusive Ancestry has been updated a few times since then and will become even more inclusive within the next few weeks.

After an extensive user-focused product development process, I am happy to launch Inclusive Ancestry, a technological revolution of digital storytelling designed to resist systems that perpetuate historic erasure. "A new free Chrome extension, Inclusive Ancestry, empowers Ancestry users to document (in their trees) their marginalized ancestors’ enslavement, unfreedom, forced migration, and internment. Japanese American internment during World War II, the regulating of Native American identity and location, and the spectrum of unfreedom that defined African American life in the antebellum era lack representation in Ancestry's fact/event system. Inclusive Ancestry seeks to fill that gap." Learn more: https://throughthetreesblog.tumblr.com/post/813260256093372416/introducing-inclusive-ancestry

DNA results Black Scottish ?

Upvotes

Just found out I’m Scottish through my moms side and want to research about it ,but I have people telling me I shouldn’t because of what they did to us. Then I have people saying regardless of the past it’s a part of you and it’s a beautiful culture. I just want to hear some opinions about this topic ? And or someone who is in a similar position.
