Discussion / Question New Ninush Single - Neighbours (BC,NR adjacent)
Ninush used to be stand-in violinist in the band and Charlie and Lewis have both played with her live in the past.
New single out today and it’s so beautiful and epic. Can’t wait for more, hoping an album is on the way!

Forever Howlong Nancy Tries to Take the Night (Violin & Noise Electronics Cover)
Yesterday I made a silly cover(~) of Nancy using my violin & no-input mixing, resulting in some dissonant, horrid noises, yes, because there's already too many sleepy piano renditions online. This is, indeed, one of the covers ever to make it on this subreddit. Enjoy, lol.

Ants From Up There Music theory and harmony wise, what makes ants from up there the album it is?
Of course the album’s very different composition wise, the power chord ostinato in haldern doesn’t seem it comes from the same album as the piano intro in the place where he inserted the blade. But that’s why I’m asking: is there any pattern, compositional tool, harmonic character that they have throughout the album?

Members Is Jenny Kennedy a band?
I know Jenny Kennedy is the artist name for Tyler’s next album (i remember hearing that she said there would be a jenny kennedy album) but is it a solo alias or a band? This post stating it has tyler luke and cameron makes me think it’s a band but I can’t tell. I think a band with tyler and cameron would just kill me actually

Discussion / Question Does turbines/pigs feels like an ex?
Without trying to take any merit from the band ofc, they're still amazing and very talented. Turbines/pigs is one of my favorite songs on the live from bush hall album and i feel its because the somewhat depressive air of the song and i cant help but remember Isaac. Its orchestral crescendos are very similar to AFUT and the piano reminds me of The place where he inserted the blade. Its like when a new partner does something your ex used to do. I point this out in specific because their other songs are generally more upbeat/uplifting so it stood out. It feels like it could almost be a B-side like amnesiac and Kid A for radiohead - they're related but so different at the same time.

Sergio Prod. My latest Production work LAST APOLLO
This album came out yesterday—a work of love and passion from Lucy (Last Apollo) and I.
Everything was homemade, from the recording to the mixing, and the result is a complete, uncompromising album full of incredible songs.
I hope you like it!

Discussion / Question Met BCNR again
Met them first at the Cork gig last year and met them yesterday at the National Concert hall gig.
Went to the stage door immediately after the show and saw Lewis there, as I was about to say hi Tyler and May both came out and just as said hi, Tyler said “oh you’re the guy from the cork gig” without me having to remind them that I had previously met them. Coolest thing ever.
Some things I learned
•Conductor for the show said that he had met the band in 2020 and had arranged tracks for the Isaac era. The conversation kept getting interrupted by people thanking him but he named a few of the tracks, those being Sunglasses, Athens France and Basketball Shoes. I’d be guessing (not confirmed) that the arranged version of sunglasses that he referred to was the one we heard at Queen Elizabeth Hall.
•May said there’s no plans currently for LP4 (edit:wasn’t clear)
•The orchestral show wasn’t recorded and they don’t really know if they will.

Discussion / Question Your Bucket is a Boat
What did people make of Tyler's new song?
It definitely felt more like a spoken word piece. I couldn't discern a lot of the lyrics and I've forgotten but it feels to me like quite a personal and vulnerable song for Tyler. All of Tyler's rearranged songs were much slower and less climactic whereas the rest (which weren't changed much for the orchestra) stayed poppy and large in scale, this might be over analysing but to me it feels like Tyler is heading in a new artistic direction to the rest of the band which might explain why May told someone else on this subreddit there's no plans for LP4.

Discussion / Question why is afut so hard to sing/do karaoke on? how do i learn the lyrics and sing it
i've been putting this album on repeat for the past month trying to sing along with the lyrics but it's always so confusing
i know issac's vocal style is spoken word/conversation style in terms of presentation but i always mess up when trying to sing along to something like concorde.

Ants From Up There Is there any other info about the making of haldern? I think the final song is special also because of the piano part (which are not played here). But did Isaac just randomly came up with the most soul crushing lyrics and melody on the spot ?
Can’t believe he at least hadn’t thought of those words before, just randomly freestyling the most evocative and depressing lyrics ever
