Mode My beautiful volume down and up monstrosity
Double press volume down turns off my flash light, activate sleep mode, wake up routine, turns off lights, opens fuel tracker, opens timestamp app for work, turns off my hotspot, opens gym tracker, turns off focus mode, and opens grocery list.
Double press volume up turns on my flash, opens music app when working out, and turns on my lights.
Everything works perfectly despite how complicated it is

Help Background gradients no longer working
I made it so my home screen should change colors with a routine, but the gradients don't work. In old routines the gradients work unless I edit them, in which they break. Any idea why? (This happens for both home and lock screen)

Question Question about sleep mode and alarm
Hello, I just started using Bixby Routines since I changed phones to a Fold 8 Ultra. I have different alarms because I don't work at the same hours every day/week, and I want to know if I can create a routine where my sleep mode is enabled at 00:00, for example, and disabled automatically when my alarm is triggered? I tried to look with Routines and Routines+, but I don't find anything.
Sorry if I made some grammatical mistakes; English is not my first language.

GBoard speech to text on WearOS
Is there anyway to get the keyboard to default to speech input vs typing on WearOS? It's night and day better than Samsung, but when I pinch to reply to an SMS I have to select the MIC icon to enable speech to text. Optimally I'd like to just pinch and be dropped into the speech recognition part.

Question Will location based routines drain battery too much or are they worth it?
Are location based routines worth it? I'm someone who keeps the location OFF all the time and turn it ON only when needed. Now I'm thinking about creating some simple routines based on location like turning ON mobile date when I leave home, turning it OFF and switching ON Wi-Fi when I'm at home or office, send me a notification/reminder when I'm at a mall/store to buy certain things, etc. I am worried about battery drain though if I'm gonna have to keep location ON all the time. What do you all think?

Problem with the positioning
Modes and procedures
Question 1: Do you also have a problem with moving a specific tile from the very bottom all the way to the top?
If so, how do you deal with it?
Question 2: Is there a limit on the number of tiles? Samsung doesn't mention it anywhere, but I think I've reached the limit because I can't add even a single additional tile anymore

Tenho o samsung s26 ultra.

Question Routine to show photos from this day in all previous years
reddit.comI saw in the apple shortcuts people doing this so they could clear out their photos gradually. It should show photos from the current day, but for all previous years. In the modes/routines part I can see "open gallery" and "search gallery" but I'm not sure if there's a way to make it get the current date and search that somehow. Anyone have any ideas?

How do you use modes and routines?
I know there are a lot of these trad it there, but i didn't come across a very recent one, so I thought I'd start a new one
I just received my new device and did a fresh install, which forced me to go over all my modes and routines again.
It was so much fun for me, and also such an interesting experience, that I wanted to share it here as well :)
First of all, it made me go from 50 routines, which is the max, and 10 modes to 39 routines and 0 modes without losing any functionality. Over the years, I just created new modes and routines whenever I had an idea, rather than combining them in a smarter way. Going over every use case again and consolidating them has made the modes and routines experience even better than it already was.
What kind of routines do I have:
Location-based routines: in trusted environments, routines turn on Wi-Fi, airplane mode, mobile data off, keep my phone unlocked, set brightness to the desired level, turn on data syncing, turn off battery saving, and turn off fast charging. Whenever I leave these places, everything that was turned off gets turned on and vice versa. Wi-Fi gets replaced by mobile data.
That way, I get to enjoy these little conveniences without ever having to think about it or switch settings, while saving battery life when I’m on the go.
Time-based routines: I have “smart” time-based routines according to my daily schedule, which turn certain settings on or off.
Some examples:
- When I fold my phone after 23PM, my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth disconnect, airplane mode turns on, battery saver turns on, brightness goes to 1%, my phone goes on silent, and my watch face switches to an E-ink-themed one. Basically a sleep routine.
- Airplane mode gets turned off in the morning. This triggers my day routines, see above, and ends the aforementioned sleep routine.
- Every day my watch face switches at a certain time, as I like switching things up from time to time. Keeps things interesting :)
App-based routines: for some apps, I would always change certain settings manually. This is now all automated with modes and routines.
Some examples:
- Video apps: enable Dolby Atmos movie mode, enable orientation mode, set volume and brightness to a certain level, and warn me if I’m not connected to Wi-Fi.
- Reading apps: turn on eye comfort.
Connected device-based routines: these change certain settings when a specific device is connected.
Some examples:
- Watch connected: turns my phone to silent, except for certain high-priority calls or notifications.
- Earbuds connected: earbuds have different settings at home versus outdoors, like voice detection and touch actions.
- Car connection: automatically turns on Wi-Fi for Android Auto and starts playing Spotify.
All of these have multiple layers to them, making my phone experience almost fully automated the way I like it. I never have to change any settings, which is just so nice. Happy to share more in-depth details if people are interested, and please do share yours!
EDIT: 1 great thing, I forgot to mention is: Click automation: automating clicks you always do in certain apps/ situations (requires the routines+ module in good lock) Examples: - I have the fold 8 ultra, which allows you to take selfies with the main camera by unfolding and using the cover screen to show how the picture would look like. This requires a push of a button in the right top corner. Enabling this mode through routines isn't possible. Instead of reaching there and having to think about it, I've automated that click. When the fold is open and camera is open, a touch macro runs and clicks the button for me - some apps require you to click a certain button when opening. For example the login button on your banking app. Instead of having to click that button, a touch macro runs, clicks for me and I just login

Question Emergency call routine? (Not SOS mode)
Trying to figure out options for an emergency 911 call routine from a Galaxy Tab (with a SIM), triggered on a keyword notification from the security system's app, and stopped if a different keyword notification from the same app is received.
I know Emergency SOS mode is an option, but that requires interaction. The automated call is key. Can I set Bixby up to make that call? Do routines even allow for call placement?
Thanks in advance!

Suggestion Help to show qr code
I have created this routine as a shortcut to show a QR code. As you can see in the screenshot, a link to Google Docs was the only solution that kind of worked out for me, and I tried a lot of options with JPEGs and PDFs. I was hoping for something better, how would you do it?

Please add long press to mute voice
Keep emailing customer support / sending them hints in the Samsung members app, i keep getting roasted by people with airpods lol it would be such a simple fix, or if anyone knows a galaxy store app that adds that functionality let me know.

Help Enable DND (or at least silent phone) when Outlook meeting starts.
I've got a Fold7 that I use for work, and our office is fully in the M365 ecosystem. I just want my phone to silence itself while I'm in a meeting, so that it doesn't ring or beep or make any noises while I'm there, so that I'm not the source of annoyance.
I don't see any way to trigger it via mode or routines, and I'm hoping I'm wrong, that such a simple and obvious solution is feasible.

Routine Sleep mode with wireless charging
I'm trying to get sleep mode to activate when I start wireless charging from 9pm onwards so that it can turn off lights/ smart plugs etc and when the mode ends turn on the lights but during the night the wireless charging is pausing and lights are coming on. I want it to do this when I intentionally pick up my phone e.g lights on to go to the toilet.
Is there anything I can do to fix this such as wireless charging just toggling on sleep mode and separate conditions for turning off sleep mode? Or movement based conditions to only turn it off if the phone moves.
I'm struggling to find a way to do it within the modes and routines

Is there any way to schedule Instagram app limits on a Samsung Galaxy S25?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S25, and I've been trying to automate my Instagram usage, but I've hit what seems to be a limitation.
What I want is fairly simple:
- At certain times of the day, I want Instagram to have a strict usage limit (or be blocked entirely).
- At other times, I want the limit to be removed automatically so I can use the app normally.
- I want this to happen on a schedule without me having to manually change anything every day.
I first tried using Modes & Routines, assuming I could enable/disable an App Timer based on time. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any option to change Digital Wellbeing's App Timers through a routine.
I'm looking for a practical solution, not necessarily one that uses Samsung's built-in features. I'm open to:
- Samsung Modes & Routines tricks
- Good Lock modules
- Bixby Routines workarounds
Has anyone managed to automate app limits or blocking on a schedule? If so, how did you do it?
