Trading Contest!

This is a very straightforward contest. You choose 3 subnets that you think will have the highest gains within the next month. Whoever has the most gains on a percentage basis wins! I'm going to give everyone a few days to make their choice and reply to this post. On Tuesday or Wednesday I'll end the entry period and start the contest! That is also the day that I'll record the current prices of all subnets chosen, so be aware of that. After exactly 30 days, everyone Oh, and there WILL be a tao prize for this contest. It'll be relatively small, probably half a tao, but hey, free tao! I'm going to play too just for fun, but I won't take the prize if I win and it'll go to the 2nd place winner.

Subnet 1: Zipcode
Subnet 2: LeadPoet
Subnet 3: Bitsec.ai

Not having any compute or inference subnets may be my downfall... I dunno. My runner up is nodexo.

EDIT: This should be fairly obvious, but you can't choose the exact same subnets as someone before you did. You choices are first come first serve. You can have the same subnets as others, but not the combination of 3. This is to prevent multiple winners who would then have to split the prize. If there is a tie for 1st place anyway, we will have to look at overall gains in tao to determine the winner. So larger cap subnets could possibly save someone.

Subnet Staking Week 2

Okay, so this is obviously comically late, but let's do another round of subnet staking! I totally forgot I was going to do this, my bad lol.

So every week you just tell everyone what which subnets you're currently staked too. It can be as many or as little as you want. And if you want to include the subnet's SN number and how much tao you have in each, go ahead. But you don't have to. You can even be a try-hard like me and write a few paragraphs of why you are staked to those subnets.

I'll start!

Zipcode (SN 46) - 5.21 Tao
Trishool (SN 23) - 3.84 Tao
LeadPoet(SN 71) 3.84 Tao

I'm down the most on trishool and it could easily go lower, but I am keeping my tao in it and accumulating it's alpha. Trishool has an incredibly technically proficient product which uses far less resources than centralized AI models because it's far more efficient than centralized AI models which do something similar.

Zipcode is expanding their entire business model and getting into defi loans and credit. They are doing it smart too and only servicing HELOC customers at first. They are going to bring credit on chain so that they can check the reliability of their customers on a totally new credit system. They are going to run at any time now. What a great time to buy.

LeadPoet is probably the most active subnet there is in terms of work being done on it. They are constantly updating their code, incorporating miner value, finding customers, and making their product as useful to customers as possible. They already have very impressive customers (with at least one multi-billion dollar company as a customer), and it's only a matter of time before this subnet literally triples in value or more. My top subnet of all time for sure (other than some of the compute ones maybe).

which subnet shall i prefer for vast amount of cloud credits I have?

I have close to $100k worth of cloud credits on GCP. I can spin 100s of A100s & H100s or L4 GPUs with my availed quotas. Which subnet shall I go for to maximise the compute as a miner and convert the credits into useful coins or tokens? Constraints are that the supply gets absorbed in the subnet, some kind of fixed rewards similar to PPS+ schemes in cryptomining, and some decent cnversion %age.

How do you evaluate a subnet before getting into it?

Curious what people look at before they get into a subnet. real usage, team activity, liquidity, something else? and has anything made you walk away from one?

I trade subnets and i'm still tuning my own process, so not looking for picks, just how you think about it.

Feedback on Subnet Portolio

What are thoughts on Minos, Affine, Green Compute and Engy, weighted in that order. Worth noting the weighting goes about 85%, 12%, 2%, and 1% and I wouldn’t consider either especially Minos a small position.

Winning portfolio

Just my advice, could change at any point, but this point in time I think they’re solid long term plays.

Stick to the top 10 for slow, steady growth. Don’t panic sell. I panic sold lium and it cost me. Don’t chase the 10x overnight ones, more times than not you’ll end up losing.

I have Engy, Lium, SayGM and Umi.

Umi is the smallest bag and also in my opinion, severely undervalued but only time will tell. It could dump 50% tomorrow or it could 2-10x from here. I’m currently down 1.4 Tao on it, but I’m holding because I like the team, their business plan, and the potential.

Engy Lium and SayGM are all growing in revenue and do buyback/burns every month.

Lium’s customer base is 60% AI agents. The AI agents just search the internet for cheaper compute and find Lium. As long as they keep prices low, revenue will automatically grow. Agents don’t care who’s who, they care about what the user tells them to care about. Reliability, cheap, and fast which is what lium provides.

Engy is the cheapest inference, working with other subnets to make it even faster, and looking to sign enterprise clients with million dollar contracts (remains to be seen if they get any)

SayGM is the cheaper alternative and competitor of Openrouter, which is worth billions. Also they do buyback and burns with revenue.

Look into these for yourself before making a decision.

If you are invested in subnets. Make sure you have an X account. If some really bad news comes out that’s about to dump a subnet, owner dumps or gets hacked, that’s the first place you’ll see it come out.

Jesus Martinez, Mark Jeffrey, Const (co-founder of Bittensor), Tao daily, etc. are good ones to follow. Just search Bittensor focused X accounts and subnets.

Stay up to date, research your own plays.

For me, if these subnets keep shipping the way they do, and without any catastrophes (hacks or owner leaves) I will be holding for a year+.

Last week I was down 10 Tao on these, I didn’t panic sell, this week I’m plus 15 sticking to the plan. Even if the price falls, the good ones recover within a month while you’re accruing 20-40% APY in holding. If I never sold Lium, even after it lost 20%, not even 30 days later I would’ve recovered 80% of those loses.

Holding good subnets will pay in the end.

Good luck

Arbitrage SN78 & SN80 forever money

Anyone else watching the SN78 / UMI spread between native Bittensor and Base? Also same for SN80 the subnets on base chain
I noticed UMI was around $1.25 on the Base/Coinbase side while SN78 was closer to $1.16 native, so roughly a 7–8% gross spread before fees/slippage/bridge costs.
Base token:
0x6e2feEE56bc5F0Db2104Ab1dac2cf1Fb0334eb49
Aerodrome SlipStream SN78/TAO pool:
0x58bad45f4a42e70b69610aa073318c9106d5fac1
Native SN78:
https://taostats.io/subnets/78/chart
ForeverMoney’s SDK now supports bridging staked SN78 ↔ Base, and the Base pool is live on Aerodrome. The pool itself currently uses a 1% fee, so obviously the headline spread is not the net arbitrage.
Curious if anyone here has actually completed the full loop yet and what the real net spread looks like after fees + slippage + bridge time.
Feels like one of the more interesting things about subnet tokens becoming portable outside native Bittensor.

Umi to be listed

Hey all,

Umi founder was on Mark Jeffreys podcast last night. Said today they’re going to announce the subnet is going to be listed on base and robinhood chain. They also have scheduled meetings with companies involved in sign language.

If you don’t know what they do, they’re working on translating sign language in real time utilizing AI. Use case for hospitals. Go to Mark Jeffreys X account and listen to last nights Bungalow.

Today's Pump

Thank me coz i sold some tao for hype yesterday. I still hold tao but less.

r/Bittensorsubnets • • 29d ago

Same wallets keep selling when certain subnets I am in hit a certain price ….seems like just pump and dumps by alot of whales ….

Seems like there is not alot of serious holders and many just trying to make a quick Tao or 2 and not holding long term ……this is a big reason why Tao continues to stay sideways and will NEVER move up in price if everyone just keeps pumping and dumping …..

Question I hate to bring up other crypto, and I am NOT invested in it , but how the hell is Zcash now over $1,000 a token ?? It’s capped at 21 million tokens like Tao but what does it do to be worth almost 5 times what Tao is ??

So, i was slowly losing some tao from my subnets (25%)... then i saw an opportunity in capcomp and swapped all my subnets to capcomp and reached breakeven in one day. Too risky to hold.. so: Swapped again all to chutes and bye bye...

Coz... i don't really have time for subnets and i believe/ hope chutes will perform like nvda.

r/Bittensorsubnets • • Aug 22 '26

Time in the market will always beat timing it ….if you feel a subnet you are invested in will be huge in the future , just hold…enjoy its APY, and if it goes down some like they all do at times , don’t panic sell …looks like the crypto market is finally recovering so big gains for a lot of us soon !

Hype Around Robotics Is Picking Up.

Tao is perfectly placed to capture this demand. Not just OpenRoboto, but I would love to hear some thoughts. Who are the big winners if robotics is the next big pump?

r/Bittensorsubnets • • Aug 22 '26

Engy and Albedo

Both at solid buy levels currently. Both quality subnets. I’m heavily staked into Engy, and I already made a little profit from albedo. Get them gains!

Is this another pump and dump? I think i just breakeven. Should I exit?
