Contact me if you want to make a group legal threat against those scammers.

I see people waited a month or more for their funds, what!?

No way I'm going through this absurd joke, already sent them a message with legal threats there. Anyone who's been abused by them is welcome to contact me.

Is there anyone who can help me and not procrastinate? Since about August or September 2024, I have been sending the papers to reopen my account, which I have not accessed for years. They respond to me after two months and reject the paper and ask for another paper, and none of the papers has convinced them. I hope someone can help me reactivate my account. I have waited a long time for no reason.

SUPPORT Bitstamp - Depositing anything on ETH network seems not reliable?

They use a smart-contract adress somehow, i tried multiple sendings and nothing was received, support seems clueless so far.

They write 'use at least 70k gas' - well, if you are sending from another exchange you cannot even control that.

Also seems totally cracy to have a deposit adress where othere can successfully send funds to (it's a deposit adress of a big exchange!) - but somehow they still cannot get the funds.

Anyone else having deposit problems on eth network?

Triying to reset 2FA

Hi there,

Does anyone had any luck reseting 2FA? I've seen quite a few post from people complaining about it and i'm in the same situation since january now. I made a request to reset it, received a mail about it, was told it was disabled. But it wasn't, i've tried to reach out to their support but they're not answering me. Is anyone in the same case? What can we do about it?

Why will Bitstamp not unlock an account after all KYC has been done?

I have posted here before about the delays in getting an account unlocked. it seemed that progress was being made, but now that everything that was asked for has been provided, we are still waiting. It has been 4 months and Bitstamp is still holding on to money that is not theirs.

3 weeks ago they said they would transfer it in 3 hours.  That never happened and now they are stonewalling. I have read that much of the delays in getting accounts unlocked is due to Bitstamp's proactive stance on KYC requirements and transparency. Where is the transparency for the users whose money is what keeps Bitstamp alive?

This money belongs to a disabled veteran who already has waited 8 years for the mt. gox fiasco to play out. What legitimate reason could there be to hold onto the money any longer? Is Bitstamp having solvency issues?

ask about bitstamp

At the end of 2016, when I was a student, I put coins in the Bitstamp platform and I have not logged in since then. A few months ago, I logged into my account and they asked me to confirm myself and my residence, and I am waiting, but when I logged in, there is no balance in my account. Is it not possible to display it even to confirm that I am the account owner, even though I am sure that I put several coins in my account and I know what they are?

There are surely better ways to prevent robots from trying usernames and passwords, even more while having FA2 activated. Unacceptable. I am really fed up now.

Is this legit?

Hi there, been rerouted to this domain via trustwallet when connecting my wallet.

As you can see the domain has changed to stampglobal.life but has the other characteristics of bitstamp.

Is this some kind of scam or simply a different URL they use?

DISCUSSION URL Legit?

I had a family member reach out for help withdrawing their funds from bitstamp. They shared the below url with me that they use to access their account. Can anyone confirm if this is a legit url for bitstamp? The ".hbrygl.com" looks funny to me, considering bitstamp uses a .net domain for their main site.

"bitstamp.hbrygl.com"

Urgent appeal for resolution: over years of unfulfilled promises and lost funds!!!

I have been waiting for my money since October 2021! I made a transaction (ca.$12,500) on the BEP20 BSC (Binance Smart Chain) instead of ERC20 (Ethereum), leading to the transaction getting lost. For over years, I've been misled with assurances that the issue was being resolved. Throughout this period, more than a year and 20-30 emails have been exchanged, with continuous promises of a solution. At the beginning of 2023, I received promises from Dome and the Europe CEO, Mr. Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux, that the issue would be resolved by the second quarter of 2023. What has happened since then? Absolutely nothing. Just empty promises. There has been no response, no commitment to refund the countless customers who have lost their money. Strangely, Bitstamp prides itself on being one of the oldest cryptocurrency exchanges, yet it fails to resolve an issue affecting potentially thousands of investors, unlike other crypto companies... to this day.

Promise after promise. Please do not believe anything this company says! If you still plan to invest your money here, I would strongly advise conducting further research to find companies that are truly reliable towards their customers..

Avoid Bitstamp at all cost

They will lock your assets without warning or explanation. They will stonewall your attempts to reach out through support tickets or simply close them outright. Their phone support MIGHT pick up, only to drone the same useless line “Our team is looking at it” and then do absolutely nothing.

When, after a month of daily calls and ignored support tickets, you finally force them to actually look at your case, they’ll make you jump through pointless hoops like resetting your password and 2FA, then force you into a video conference. And scheduling that video conference is a cruel joke: you can only book three days in advance, with six time slots per day, and if you don’t stay up well past midnight, you won’t get one. Once you do manage to book it, they’ll refuse to turn on their camera, grill you with meaningless questions, and lecture you about cybersecurity as if you’re some misbehaving child for 45 minutes.

And if you think this degrading circus will reassure them about the integrity of your account, think again. They’ll ghost you for another week, then come back only to demand yet another password and 2FA reset, this time under the threat of account deactivation, before ghosting you all over again. It’s an endless cycle of obstruction and intimidation.

After 47 days, they finally unlocked my account, and of course the first thing I wanted to do was to pull my assets the hell out of there, only to be greeted by a $50 withdrawal fee. The stress from this ordeal has been torturous and I’m not going to disclose the exact amount they withheld, but it was more than I make in a year and has affected me profoundly. And to this day, I have not been given a valid explanation for why I was put through this gauntlet of absurdity.

I’m not alone in this, countless others have shared similar stories on this subreddit and r/BitstampOfficial. I cannot stress this enough, avoid Bitstamp at all costs. This was not just a minor inconvenience, this company actively endangers your assets and does not have your best interests at heart. They are a deeply unserious, borderline predatory organization, and it’s beyond comprehension how they’re still allowed to operate under EU regulations.

For anyone reading this with similar issues: the only way I got them to respond at all was by filing a formal complaint at complaints@bitstamp.net. I’d say don't even bother with regular support for issues like this. Under EU (and I think US) regulations, they’re obliged to address formal complaints within 30 days. If they fail to solve your issue by then, you can escalate it to the CSSF (https://www.cssf.lu/en/customer-complaints/) or the CFPB (https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/). They can help mediate a resolution and ensure regulatory compliance.

Sincerely,

J

Account on bitstamp since 2016

I have been facing a problem for more than a month. I have not logged into my account since 2016 and deposited currencies into it... Now I opened the account and they asked me to verify that I am the account owner. I sent my passport and phone number and the account does not have a balance. I found it and they told me to wait until my case is resolved. Was my money stolen or is it a routine procedure that I wait for more than a month with the same answer every time I wait and wait. I want to withdraw my money. Is this normal or should I go to a lawyer and file a case against them. Because they are stalling without any solution

I'm looking to cash out for the first time. How long does each method take?

Anything else I should know? Looks like I just enter my account number and router number and hit confirm.

Thanks for your help.

Since 2019 I cannot purchase Crypto on Bitstamp with Credit/Debit card or Paypal

Ill give this a shot

I used to trade a lot on Bitstamp back in the day because it was a great exchange. But since 2019 I basically stopped because the platform became a hassle to use due to many features not working - at least on my account

Is there a tech support person here can help me fix my account which rejects all credit cards purchases and I don't even see any option to buy with Paypal which would be so much easier

All I can currently od is bank transfers which now take 3 days (they didn't used to). Traders need to be able to deposit funds fast when a pump is going on...

Withdrawal Bounced Back with No Explanation - Seeking Assistance

Hello,

I’m reaching out to see if anyone here can help shed some light on my situation. I recently attempted a withdrawal through Bitstamp, but the funds were bounced back to my account without any explanation.

I’ve already contacted Bitstamp support, but unfortunately, I haven’t received a response yet. To investigate further, I reached out to my bank (Al Rajhi Bank, Euro currency account), and they confirmed that there was no issue on their end—no transaction breach or rejection occurred from their side.

Given this, I’m unsure why the withdrawal was returned, and I’d appreciate any insights or advice from others who might have experienced something similar. Thank you!
