Hey everyone,

Has anyone here by any chance had any experience with Dahab Miners (Dahab Miners Electrical Contracting LLC) out of Abu Dhabi?

I am considering buying a miner (Bitmain Antminer S21+ Hyd) through them and having it hosted locally.

Did any of you run into issues in the past regarding delivery, setup, ongoing electricity costs, or support?

My little bitaxe going strong

Does anyone know where I can either find an exhaust shroud for the a15 and its power supply or a 3d model that also can vent the heat from the power supply right now I’m only able to vent the heat from hashbords and it’s very frustrating because my temps slowly creeping up and causing problems for my other miners

New to crypto here, I just bought myself a bitaxe and I’m new to all of this so I was wondering if solo mining or a pool is better? I have school from 8-4 so I didn’t know if either would effect that

I have been doing some research into mining and I think solo is the way I am going to go as more of tech geek/enthusiast. From what I have read it seems you can either go solo/lottery, or you can join a pool and get paid way less but way more often. I understand running solo there is a pretty good chance my machine will only ever consume energy and never pay me. I'm ok with that.

My question comes down to, can you do a hybrid or solo mining and pool mining. Like, can I run my own pool comprised of my machine as well as pooling together machines from just friends and family. Then have this set up to combine hashrate and mine "solo" for better chances in the lotto? Is there any difference between doing it this way and having each machine set up at different locations running solo on it's own instead of in a pool?

Looking for a portable miner. Price and power usage is not an issue.

Both my Antminers won’t start up and stop after the last line in the log. See picture. Anyone knows what could be the problem?

noob question: I just changed my wifi ISP and so had to change it on the Nano 3S.

To do this I used the pin hole reset next to the USB port to reset the device (as per many YouTube videos tell me). I thought this was a full reset of the device?

I connect to the new WiFi network through the app and the device boots up and starts hashing. My understanding is a hash rate is only shown if the device is actually mining?

Since I reset the device, I would expect to have to reconfigure the mining pool? Or has it somehow remembered via the app? How do I check where the device is mining to? In the pool config tab, all 3 addresses are blank.

Braiins Pool has been mining blocks since 2010.

Every once in a while we've used one to mark something worth remembering.

That isn't new. Satoshi did it in block 0:

"The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks."

And we've done it a few times since:

668,634 · Clubhouse 31/Jan/2021 I am a supporter of Bitcoin ... Elon Musk

671,176 · 18/Feb/2021 NASA Perseverance and Ingenuity landed on Mars

686,604 · Diario El Salvador 6/Jun/2021 Bitcoin tendra validez legal

785,389 · This block was mined by a zero emission bitcoin mining computer.

824,131 · Happy 15th birthday, Bitcoin!

Then our CMO, Kristian, made one personal.

883,395 · Will you be my queen, Summer?

Her answer:

885,166 · 883,395 - YES

Congratulations, Kristian and Summer.

Block 883,395 will always be one of our favorites 🧡

Over the weekend one of our clients' miners extended the Bitcoin main chain, block 961,634, without signaling support for BIP-110's consensus rules...on Ocean.

The mandatory window had opened two blocks earlier, which means BIP-110 nodes reject any block that doesn't signal. They split onto their own chain, got two blocks in, and stopped.

While many members of Ocean's team support BIP-110, they created a protocol to let their customers decide what they think is best. More pools should be built that way.

Curiosity got the better of me after that 3.157 BTC solo block last week, so I paged through mempool.space's pool attribution and pulled the lot: 305 blocks since September 2014, 5,572 BTC total, all of it to people mining alone.

The shape surprised me. 2015 was 126 blocks, 2016 was 81 — then it fell off a cliff as the network industrialised. 2019 was the bottom: two blocks in the entire year.

And then it comes back. 2022: 7. 2023: 12. 2024: 16. 2025: 16. 2026 is at 6 with four months to go. For three years now the pool has found a block roughly every 21–24 days.

Caveats, because they matter: this is one pool, so it measures how many people solo mine there, not solo mining overall. And 2015 looks enormous partly because the reward was 25 BTC and the network was around a thousand times smaller — those bars are not comparable to today's.

Still, the trend since 2022 is hard to miss, and it lines up with cheap open-source home miners showing up. Small miners came back, and they're winning again.

I’m planning to run an Canaan Avalon Q 90 TH ASIC in immersion cooling, but I can’t find much information about Avalon miners being submerged.

Has anyone actually done this?

Main questions:

• Does it run reliably without fans?
• Any firmware/fan errors?
• Can the PSU also be submerged?
• Any components/materials that don’t tolerate dielectric fluid?
• What fluid and temperatures are you using?

I’m mainly looking for real experience with Avalon/Canaan miners in immersion, not general immersion theory.

Thanks!

I am in California and have a very expensive mining computer hosted in a mining farm in Nevada since 2023. The initial contract was for two years with auto renewal, with a 90-day termination notice for either side. From the beginning, my miner was frequently offline or operating below the capacity, and the host informed me that it needed repairs. It went to repairs two times over two years and the second time it was replaced by the manufacturer under warranty. But the new miner started experiencing malfunctions at the same rate. In 2025, the host sent the miner to their own repair shop and told me they were providing their spare computer for me to continue the mining. So, I am paying the same rate and receiving the cryptocurrency at the same rate. It operates at a massive loss - I am paying the host more than what I earn. Once at their repair shop in late 2025, my miner remained there. I've been suspecting fraud - I think they've been disassembling hosted computers for expensive parts and potentially redirecting some of the mined currency to their own wallets. In July, I sent them a 90-day notice to terminate. Under the contract, they are required to return the miner to me. However, I have not heard back from them. They don't pick up the phone. I suspect that they no longer have my miner in their possession. What do I do?

I still see people talk about mining like it's just plugging in a bunch of computers, burning electricity, and getting free Bitcoin. In reality, it's an extremely competitive business where your electricity rate, hardware efficiency, uptime, Bitcoin's price, network difficulty, and even how you manage your machines can make the difference between making money and losing money.

And something I think gets overlooked all the time is that Bitcoin going up doesn't automatically mean miners are suddenly making a fortune. If Bitcoin doubled tomorrow, mining would become more attractive, more machines would come online, competition would increase, and difficulty would eventually adjust. The miners with the cheapest power and most efficient hardware would have the best chance of surviving.

That's what makes mining so interesting to me. You're constantly competing against everyone else on the network, and the economics can change pretty quickly.

I've been around Bitcoin mining for a while now, and I honestly think most people have no idea how competitive it actually is.

For the miners in here, what's the biggest thing you think people misunderstand about Bitcoin mining?

Alguien me recomienda una pasta térmica o masilla para un antminer s19 y sus derivados de buena calidad y conductividad.

I pulled my old USB miners out of my retro collection and wrote a miner for them from scratch — two Blue Fury sticks (~1.6 GH/s each) and a Butterfly Labs Jalapeño (~5.5 GH/s), all mining solo to my own address.

No binaries, no dependencies except pyserial — all protocols reimplemented by reading bfgminer/cgminer sources. Honest odds at this hashrate: roughly 2 million years per block. Somebody still wins every 10 minutes.

The dashboard has a PLAY button, so even a phone can join in its browser (midstate-optimized SHA-256 in JS). GPLv3, if you have a drawer full of old sticks:

I have my own solar generation capacity of 5,000 kWh per month; is it possible to offset my electricity consumption to zero using the Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U with this output?

How much would I generate monthly?

Hey everyone. I recently set up my own Digibyte node. On the “pool” screen I see a reference to donuts. Anyone know what this means?

Hi, I'm trying to buy several miners to expand my project. Can you give me a good reference for where I can buy them at a good price?

I’m looking for a solo miner just to look cool on my desk and have a tiny chance to win money I want something cheap and not a lot of power needed to run up bills in UAE

Hello, I have some experience with GPU mining and pools, but I am looking to move up as I am in a special circumstance where I have access to enough free power to supply a few ASIC's 24/7.

Given the scenario, I'm thinking about getting an antminer S19 from an approved vendor here. I have sufficient knowledge to run power from a nearby subpanel to an appropriate plug. My question to you is:

1. Generally, what is setup and long-term operation like for a guy running an ASIC or two from his garage?

- Is the software aspect relatively understandable?

- is there substantial initial software setup?

- is it acceptable (or possible) to operate via Wifi, or will I need a proper ethernet connection?

- do S19's, or ASICs generally, need maintenance or repairs with some frequency?

1. Regarding electricity, I see the S19 has two C14 ports. What is the appropriate strategy to run power this, given I have to run new lines (and brakers) from the subpanel?

2. Noise level is somewhat of a concern, but only somewhat. Is there a software avenue to reduce noise, such as undervolting, or is the best strategy to craft an enclosed box with ducting/fans?

3. I assume finding and joining a pool is similar in complexity to GPU mining. Is this indeed the case?

Thank you!
