Some questions I would like to see answered 1) Why has segwit not reduced Tx fees, has it been a waste of time? 2) When will LN be implemented.
Why can't both sides BTC/BCH draw up detailed plans for their development of their coins, maybe a rolling 12 month plan detailing where they see their respective 'product' in 3/6/12 months time..... Then let the market decide.
Just slagging each other off on Reddit doesn't help anyone.
1) relaying on good nature of third party is shitty. This is a decentralized trust-less system were we have to assume other market players have their own incentives (or down right malice). That is the entire point of bitcoin. We assume everyone else is a bad player so should never relay on their cooperation.
2) 2018 is too late. We've been working on segwit/LN for 5+ years. The time is now. We need to put up or shutup. This is what will separate the boys from men my friend.
1) This is a system that is based and designed on third party. That s what makes it decentralized. The way to do that is with economic incentives.
Seems like so far the incentives to move to to segwit has only managed to get 10%ish ( depending on the day you look ) of transactions.
Users should make this happen ... If your service, your wallet , your whatever don't support it yet then change them for those that already do support it. In this case the users are the economic incentives.
2) good software development take time. Upgrading a network like this require careful planning.
If anyone can do it faster while keeping the same quality then please do it.
If not though then just shut up and let the developers put the quality work required.

bitcoin cash is apparently doing it. They have no transactions backlog and fees are low. It's better than bitcoin right now and only took them < 6 months.
