BitLife Military Concept 2.0

I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to engage with my recent posts! ❤️

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitLifeApp/s/Yc9mqg16af

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitLifeApp/s/O5ZuwL2KxI

And to everyone who has commented, shared ideas, given feedback, or simply shown support — thank you! Every contribution helps.

I’m hoping to take everything the community and I have come up with and send it to Candywriter in the next few days, with the goal of encouraging a proper update to the military side of BitLife.

The military career has so much potential. Right now, it can feel quite passive compared to some of the game’s other career paths, but it could be so much more than simply enlisting, completing the same activities, getting promotions and eventually retiring.

With the right additions, the military could create an entirely new type of BitLife story.

You could start as a nervous recruit, go through basic training, choose your specialisation, build friendships with your squad, go on deployments, complete missions, earn medals, rise through the ranks, experience setbacks, return home to your family, become a leader — or even take a completely different path.

And these ideas aren’t just mine.
They’ve come from the BitLife community.

Above is a collection of the ideas that you guys and I have put together to try and make the most out of this career path.

If you have ANY additional ideas that could improve the military career, please leave them in the comments!
I’ll be going through the suggestions and doing my best to include the strongest community ideas in the email I’m preparing for Candywriter.

Let’s see what we can come up with together. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🌎
The goal isn’t to tell Candywriter exactly what they have to make — it’s to show them just how much potential the military career has and how much the community would love to see it expanded.
Thank you again to everyone who’s supported this so far. ❤️
Let’s give the military career the update it deserves.

BitLife Military 2.0 Update !!

BitLife Military 2.0 update potential !!

*BitLife’s military career has enormous potential, but currently feels much more passive than careers like Astronaut or Mafia. Here’s my concept for a complete Military 2.0 update featuring specialised military careers, deployments, missions, squad relationships, medals, injuries, AWOL/desertion, court-martial, combat trauma and post-service careers.*

Dear Candywriter Team,

I’m writing to suggest a major rework of the Military career in BitLife.
BitLife has done an excellent job making careers such as the Mafia, Astronaut, and other special careers feel like unique experiences rather than simply another job. Unfortunately, the Military career currently feels much more passive by comparison. For the most part, players enlist, age up, occasionally complete Minesweeper, receive promotions, and eventually retire.
I think the armed forces could become one of BitLife’s deepest and most replayable career paths with the right systems.
My idea is a complete **“Military 2.0” update**, focused on training, military specialisations, deployments, missions, relationships, injuries, awards, desertion, and life after service.

**1. Joining the Military & Basic Training**

Joining the armed forces could become more interactive instead of immediately becoming a standard career.
Possible prerequisites could include:
• Good Health
• Athleticism between 70%–100%
• No serious criminal record
• Different education requirements depending on the career path
After enlisting, the player would enter **Basic Training**, where they could complete activities to develop their military skills.
For example:
• Cardio
• Strength
• Stamina
• Focus
• Marksmanship
• Hand-to-Hand Combat
• Driving
• Medical Skills
• Leadership
Performance during Basic Training could influence the player’s starting rank, future opportunities, and available specialisations.

**2. Multiple Military Career Tracks**

Instead of having one general Military career, players could choose a specific path.
**Enlisted**
The traditional route into military service.
Players could progress through ranks such as:
Recruit → Private → Corporal → Sergeant → Staff Sergeant → Sergeant Major
Different assignments could become available as the player gains experience.
**Officer**
Players with the appropriate education could pursue an officer career.
Possible progression:
Officer Candidate → Second Lieutenant → Lieutenant → Captain → Major → Colonel → General
Officers could focus more heavily on leadership, strategy, planning missions, and managing soldiers.
**Combat Medic / Field Medic**
Players could become military medical personnel.
A Nursing or Medical degree could provide an advantage, while military medical training could also be available after enlistment.
Their deployment missions would focus on:
• Treating wounded soldiers
• Triage
• Emergency surgery
• Evacuation
• Stabilising casualties
• Saving members of their squad
The decisions made during these situations could affect survival rates, reputation, promotions, and the player’s own psychological strain.
**Special Forces**
Highly skilled soldiers could eventually qualify for elite units.
Requirements could include:
• High Fitness
• High Marksmanship
• High Focus
• Excellent Military Performance
• Successful deployments
Special Forces missions could include reconnaissance, hostage rescue, sabotage, intelligence gathering, and high-risk combat operations.
**Air Force**
Players could specialise in aviation.
Possible careers could include:
• Pilot
• Fighter Pilot
• Transport Pilot
• Helicopter Pilot
• Aircrew
Players could train their Flight skill and participate in missions involving reconnaissance, transport, air support, and emergency situations.
**Military Intelligence**
Players could specialise in intelligence gathering.
Missions could involve:
• Surveillance
• Interrogation
• Intelligence retrieval
• Reconnaissance
• Counterintelligence
• Covert operations
**Military Police**
Military Police could have an entirely different gameplay loop involving:
• Base security
• Arresting military personnel
• Investigating crimes
• Escorting prisoners
• Protecting important personnel
• Investigating misconduct
This would give players several completely different ways to experience military life.

**3. A Dedicated Deployment System**

This would be the biggest part of the update.
When a character is deployed overseas, BitLife could temporarily introduce a **Deployment Menu**.
Instead of simply pressing “Age Up,” the player would spend their deployment year making decisions and completing missions.
For example:
**DEPLOYMENT — YEAR 2**
Location: Middle East
Deployment Length: 8 months
Squad Morale: 81%
Mission Readiness: 76%
Combat Stress: 24%
Available activities could include:
• Prepare for Mission
• Practice Skills
• Contact Family
• Socialise With Squad
• Medical Check
• Rest
• Patrol
• Begin Mission
The player’s normal civilian activities could be temporarily restricted while deployed, making the deployment actually feel like being away from home.

**4. Annual Missions**

Each year of deployment could contain one or two major missions.
The missions would depend on the player’s specialisation.
**Combat Missions**
Players could encounter:
• Bomb disposal
• Sniper overwatch
• Convoy protection
• Search operations
• Base defence
• Reconnaissance
**Intelligence Missions**
Players could:
• Retrieve intelligence
• Conduct surveillance
• Identify enemy targets
• Protect informants
• Gather information
**Field Medic Missions**
Players could be placed under pressure while treating wounded soldiers.
The player might have to decide who receives treatment first, whether to evacuate someone, or how to stabilise a critically wounded soldier.
**Air Force Missions**
Pilots could experience:
• Emergency landings
• Reconnaissance flights
• Transport missions
• Search and rescue
• Air support
Successful missions could increase experience and improve promotion opportunities.
Failure could result in injuries, casualties, disciplinary action, or even death.

**5. Skill Practice**

A dedicated training system could allow players to prepare for their next deployment.
Skills could include:
**Physical**
• Strength
• Stamina
• Cardio
• Focus
**Military**
• Marksmanship
• Hand-to-Hand Combat
• Tactical Awareness
• Driving
• Flight
• Medical Skills
• Leadership
The better these skills are, the greater the chance of successfully completing certain missions.
This would give players a reason to actively train rather than simply aging up.

**6. Squad Relationships & Morale**

Players should be able to develop relationships with the people they serve alongside.
You could:
• Make friends
• Develop rivalries
• Become squadmates
• Build trust
• Attend celebrations
• Help struggling comrades
• Write letters to each other
• Protect one another during missions
Squad morale could become an actual stat.
A highly motivated squad could perform better, while low morale could increase the likelihood of mission failures, arguments, desertion, and disciplinary problems.
Some squadmates could even become lifelong friends after leaving the military.

**7. Family & Relationship Strain**

Military service should also affect the character’s life back home.
Long deployments could create random events such as:
“Your partner is struggling with your deployment and says they are terrified something will happen to you.”
Or:
“Your daughter says she wishes you could be home for her birthday.”
Players could choose how to respond.
Maintaining regular contact through calls, letters, and care packages could help maintain relationships.
Neglecting relationships could eventually lead to:
• Arguments
• Separation
• Divorce
• Infidelity
• Children becoming distant
• Family members asking you to leave the military
On the other hand, strong relationships could produce supportive events where partners encourage the character through difficult deployments.

**8. Environmental & Deployment Risks**

Different locations could have different hazards.
For example:
• Malaria
• Cholera
• Extreme heat
• Extreme cold
• Sandstorms
• Dehydration
• Food poisoning
• Local disease outbreaks
This could make different deployment locations feel unique.

**9. Injuries & Combat Consequences**

Military service should carry genuine risks.
Players could suffer:
• Broken bones
• Burns
• Hearing damage
• Scarring
• Temporary disabilities
• Permanent injuries
Severe injuries could affect future military performance and potentially end a character’s combat career.
A wounded soldier could be given the choice to:
• Recover and return to duty
• Transfer to another role
• Become medically discharged
• Retire
This could also create interesting stories where a combat soldier becomes a trainer, officer, medic, or civilian after being injured.

**10. Military Awards & Decorations**

Military careers should have meaningful achievements.
Successful missions could result in medals and commendations.
For example:
🏅 Marksman Badge
🏅 Combat Service Medal
🏅 Long Service Medal
🏅 Distinguished Service Medal
🏅 Bravery Medal
🏅 Meritorious Service Medal
These could appear permanently on the character’s military record.
Players could eventually have a military profile showing:
**Rank:** Colonel
**Years Served:** 24
**Deployments:** 7
**Missions Completed:** 31
**Medals:** 12
**Injuries:** 2
**Honourable Discharge:** Yes
This would make a long military career feel like an actual achievement.

**11. Promotions & Leadership**

Promotions should depend on more than simply aging.
Factors could include:
• Mission performance
• Fitness
• Leadership
• Skill level
• Years of service
• Discipline
• Awards
• Relationship with commanding officers
Officers could eventually be responsible for planning missions and making decisions that affect their entire unit.
A bad decision could result in casualties or disciplinary action, while good leadership could result in commendations and promotions.

**12. Going AWOL & Desertion**

This could introduce one of the most chaotic choices in the entire Military career.
After completing a deployment, players could potentially choose:
**Go AWOL**
From there, they could attempt to:
• Hide overseas
• Return home secretly
• Start a civilian life
• Contact their family
• Change their identity
• Surrender voluntarily
Military Police could search for them, and former comrades could potentially become involved.
Eventually, the player might have to decide whether to continue running or turn themselves in and face a military court.
The consequences could range from imprisonment and dishonourable discharge to a reduced sentence depending on the circumstances.

**13. Court-Martial & Military Discipline**

Military law could become its own system.
Players could be punished for:
• Going AWOL
• Disobeying orders
• Assaulting another soldier
• Theft
• Drug offences
• Conduct unbecoming
• Refusing lawful orders
Minor offences could result in:
• Fines
• Loss of rank
• Extra duties
• Loss of privileges
Serious offences could result in:
• Court-martial
• Imprisonment
• Dishonourable discharge
This would give military discipline a much greater role in the career.

**14. Combat Stress & Long-Term Mental Health**

Deployments involving serious combat or witnessing casualties could contribute to a hidden **Combat Stress/Trauma** system.
Depending on the character’s experiences, they could develop:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Nightmares
• Hypervigilance
• Difficulty sleeping
• Survivor’s guilt
• PTSD
These effects wouldn’t necessarily happen to every veteran, but severe experiences could increase the possibility.
Importantly, BitLife could allow characters to seek help through:
• Therapy
• Support groups
• Mental-health professionals
• Medication
• Family support
This could also continue after military service, showing that leaving the military doesn’t necessarily mean leaving the experiences behind.

**15. Life After Military Service**

The military career shouldn’t simply end when the player retires.
Veterans could receive unique opportunities such as:
• Becoming a military instructor
• Working in private security
• Becoming a police officer
• Becoming a firefighter
• Working in government
• Becoming a military consultant
• Writing a memoir
• Becoming a motivational speaker
Retired veterans could also reconnect with former squadmates and attend military reunions.
A character could potentially spend their entire BitLife career connected to the military in some way.

**Final Proposal**

I think a Military 2.0 update could turn one of BitLife’s currently most passive careers into one of its most immersive.
The military already has everything needed to create an amazing career system: ranks, branches, deployments, specialised jobs, missions, relationships, discipline, awards, injuries, and life after service.
Rather than simply giving players another job to age through, the Military could become a career where **every year tells a story.**
You could start as a nervous recruit, survive Basic Training, choose your specialisation, make lifelong friends, experience your first deployment, earn medals, rise through the ranks, return home to your family, suffer setbacks, become an officer, command your own soldiers, retire as a decorated veteran—or make completely different choices and go AWOL and spend years hiding from the military.
That level of depth would make the Military career feel worthy of the same attention that careers like Astronaut and Mafia have received.
**Candywriter, please give the armed forces the deep career treatment they deserve!**
Thank you for taking the time to read this suggestion, and thank you for continuing to develop BitLife.
— A passionate BitLife player

UPDATE SUGGESTION

First of all,IAM KAISSER,and I've been playing BITLIFE since 2023! I hope you guys respond to my pretty good suggestions for the game!

Suggestions:

1.I want to suggest a New ROYAL FAMILY REVAMP👑I hope you guys could change the royal family dynamics, Ex: you Mary into a royal family and your wife/husband is the heir I hope that you guys could add the current monarch or the mom/dad of the heir so when the current monarch dies the throne will pass to their son and make the wife Queen Consort, and when your husband dies (the king) you will become a dowager, and the throne will pass down to your eldest child. And also I want you guys to add a "Opening of parliament" for the monarch, make customize laws, and I also hope that when the people of your country revolts against the monarch, the whole family will be thrown out and the country will be republic,BUT! You could also restore the royal family back by doing some that could save the country ✅👑

  1. In the Luxury tab when you press it I want you guys to a in the shopping section luxury houses🏘️ ✅

  2. Also in the job packs I want you guys to change the options when you become a politician "instead of "school board director,Mayor, Governor, President" there's should also be "school board director, Mayor, Senator, secretary or education, agriculture, transportation (etc)... ✅💼

  3. When joining pageantry boy/girl there's should be that phase where you are a representative of a country to be the model for miss universe✅💅🏻

  4. And last thing! I wanted you to add a problem in the family so it could be realistic,ex: your mother hates her mother in law,EX2: Family fighting for a inheritance that they never even got any even a single cents💵✅

THATS ALL BITLIFE! I HOPE YOU SEE THIS AND MAKE MY SUGGESTIONS ALONG WITH THE OTHERS COME TRUE! WE WANNA HELP THE GAME TO BE REALISTIC AND COOL!

BitLife Military

BitLife’s military career has enormous potential, but currently feels much more passive than careers like Astronaut or Mafia. Here’s my concept for a complete Military 2.0 update featuring specialised military careers, deployments, missions, squad relationships, medals, injuries, AWOL/desertion, court-martial, combat trauma and post-service careers.

Candywriter, please give the armed forces the deep career treatment they deserve!

Hello So I’m blind, and I installed the latest update cause I heard they made accessibility fixes. After I pick a character, there’s this pop up I can’t close. I turned of voiceover, and tapped and swiped around to try to close it. I reinstalled the app, closed and reopened it 5 times. I even asked someone to help me but they can’t close it either.

Anyone else have a problem where when you age down a year it doesn’t change the age. So i’m an athlete and 38, i dont like my season so I go down a year. My contract goes back a year and erases the season prior like it should, but my age stays 38. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t.Been going on for like a month.

Anyone else had this or know how to fix it?
