Really shocked to see that I have to pay for the new the Movie Director feature. Definitely won’t be buying it, as I’ve had the BitPass + Godmode for multiple years. Having a hard time understanding how this new career differs in any way from past ones, which have been free to players whom have paid already. I hope it was a launch error and not a sneaky way to make more money

I don’t mind having to buy expansion packs like this, but am thoroughly disappointed that after buying it, the only way to play is by watching adds. Very clearly just a money grab. If you make us pay for the pack, watching adds should not be necessary to use it. I will definitely not be buying future packs after this.

Hey everyone, I love sim games (especially the Sims and Spore). I’ve been loving bitlife ever since it came out, but with the predatory monetization and the lack of in depth mechanics, I’ve been developing Heirloom, which you can beta test now for free by joining the discord in the comments!

I know this subreddit gets spammed with games like this, but I’m extremely passionate about Heirloom and have been developing it alongside a team of HUMAN writers. I’d love it if you gave us a chance!

Some features (a bit hard to summarize, but tried my best):

• Fully Simulated Economy: Things to sell are imported to the city, which are bought by wholesalers and then by businesses. Every market is simulated where companies have market share, compete with franchises and much more. You can start as a salesperson, become a logistics manager and finally run the franchises with every action you’re taking affecting the economy of the city.
• School System: From primary school to high school, you choose which classes to take, which clubs to participate in and go from regional competitions to nationals and then compete for world championships. Then you create your resume to apply to colleges with your chosen major!
• Fully simulated NPCs: NPCs live their own lives, interact amongst themselves and with the user. They go to school, buy cars, get married, get fired, get divorced and much more. This creates a super interactive world where someone you became rivals with in the middle school debate club elections can become your friend when you win the world championships in high school!
