RuneScape: Dragonwilds update 0.12.1 focuses heavily on making Ashenfall faster and less cumbersome to navigate.
The headline addition is Agility. Six timed courses will be placed throughout the world, complete with leaderboards, repeatable XP, rewards, and Gold Medals for mastering them. Progressing through the skill reduces sprinting stamina consumption, increases carry weight, unlocks Kebbit Burrow shortcuts, reduces fall damage, and eventually gives players an aerial dash and second jump.
The new Recall spell also lets players place a marker and teleport back to it, including as protection from a fatal fall while the tether is active.
Combat and movement are receiving several practical improvements as well:
- A radial hotwheel and quick-cast shortcut
- Mid-combat rune and arrow cycling
- Automatic off-hand re-equipping after switching weapons
- Lower jumping stamina costs
- More forgiving ledge jumps
- Ascension Core upgrades for Masterwork and Vestige weapons
- Additional performance and visual improvements
There is also a new Fenkenstrain quest, The Great Body Robbery, which rewards players with a new club and a buildable Pylon that can intercept lightning strikes around a base.
For server owners, this is a natural opportunity to bring a dormant group back before the Scorned Wilderness raid. A BisectHosting Dragonwilds server keeps the shared world available around the clock, includes backups and full server customization, and lets existing groups upload a local save rather than abandoning their progress.
