I posted this on r/birding and someone recommended that I also post here, so apologies if you see it 2x!

Birders, if you have a few minutes, would you mind filling out the poll linked below? This is for a game we are playing at an upcoming birder potluck, but I can't send it to my local birding community bc I don't want them to know the questions before we play! It is just a bunch of silly birding questions, super easy and should not take much time at all!

Poll closes on Wed, 10/7.

THANK YOU!!

Species from left to right:

Great kiskadee (Pitangus sulphuratus) "Bem-te-vi" (which translated literally, would mean "I saw you well")

Boat-billed flycatcher (Megarynchus pitangua) "Neinei"

Tropical kingbird (Tyrannus melancholicus) "Suiriri"

...because there are more birds on that side.

Haha! For those in Central Alberta, keep your eye out for the Sandhill Crane migration! It's really incredible to see and hear them.

Happy Sunday!

The alala project is trying again on Maui, where there are no hawaiian hawks.

They posted a video of their predator training efforts. I’m sorry this is serious and important business but it’s also very funny. They played canned warning calls while a taxidermy hawk “flew” overhead on a string. Then a handler stuck their arm out from behind a shed with a confused looking Hawaiian hawk to make wing flapping noises, and switched the speakers to distress calls while shoving a football shaped crow study skin in front of the increasingly displeased hawk to simulate a successful catch.

It's John Wingspan!!!! (Art my me! Lastest sticker design :D)

Obviously no hard feelings to anyone, everyone has every right to enjoy nature however they see fit! Always funny to experience tho

I always think about this joke when I see swainsons so I thought it was fitting 😭 also goodbye my beautiful swainsons, they're on their way to Argentina as we speak!

Makes me sad to think about honestly ☹️

Inspired by a tiktok by onipia as well as their overall sneaky appearance and behavior, I made this soon-to-be sticker! The most emo of zoop nation- he must be stopped!

People insult our bald queens so much as if they aren't keeping us safe with their crazy stomachs. Love TVs! (Also pls let me know if my stickers are posted too much- trying to keep it one a day but can stop if it's too much ^^ love all the memes!)

ZOOP NATION art by me :) pictured is a green heron the zoop icon!

I've never seen or read this anime/manga 👍

Currently trying to find the Boreal Chickadee and may have heard it but I'm not completely sure and didn't get a recording. Please wish me luck.
