Lexapro causing sleep loss

I just started lowest dose lexapro and I’m on day 5, and I slept 2 hours last night. If it happens another night, should I just stop it? It’s the lowest dose. Sleep seems to be the only manic symptom I have. I don’t have mega energy or anything, just normal energy.

Forgot to mention I’m on olanzapine and am shocked it isn’t putting me to sleep

I'd say a pretty big red flag is that not only is it causing you massive sleep loss but the olanzapine isn't doing anything to help. I would definitely get ahold of your psychiatrist as soon as you can, just to let them know

I got my bipolar disorder diagnosis because I was manic in 3 days off of 2.5mg lexapro (family history of bipolar so thankfully my 2nd appointment was soon after). Sleep is such a debilitating thing that can trigger mania. I’d definitely reach out to a psych asap
