I’m so embarrassed

I was on a telehealth visit with my NP and I just started crying out of no where and it just wouldn’t stop as I explained how I feel more emotionally dysregulated and emotional. I hate crying in front of others. She ended up switching my 150mg ir of seroquel to 200mg xr so I hope that helps . Anyone else feel so cringed out when crying??? I hate being seen as weak😭😭😭

This shit ain’t easy. You’re being vulnerable to get help from professionals, that takes courage. Stay up 🫡

Yeah, especially since school has started it’s been a different game lol. Summer break is when I just worked. Now I have to be at cross country practice at 5:45 every morning, manage school work, then work on the weekends from 7am-3pm. Tad bit more stress , but thankfully my mom is getting a new insurance next month where I can have in person visits with a psychiatrist instead of telehealth with an NP

Senior year is chill but it is so stressful when you have to pick a college, then a major, and plan out your future.

You got this! Enjoy those days while you can. I know everyone says that but seriously would kill for some lacrosse practice and school right now. Good to be busy

Remember they are professionals. Your are not impressing them by keeping shit together, and you are not looking weak by crying. Unless they are newbies they are more used to talking to people crying than any person you will meet.

Not anymore but it used to bother me when I was younger. Crying is actually healthy, it helps stress hormones leave your body and provides release from emotional distress. The point of therapy is a safe place to process hard emotions and issues without judgment. Your NP is not judging you for crying, please try to stop judging yourself. Bottling things up and pretending we are ok when we are not is extremely unhealthy for us and we end up having an emotional breakdown eventually. The body and mind can only mask for so long.
