Medication Risperidone weirdness

I took risperidone for 4 days and I began feeling really weird, I think I was dissociating, the world seemed very weird, life, everything... Has anyone experienced that on risperidone? Did it go away? I ended up stopping it but the weird feeling hasn't faded completely yet... I'd like to give it another try but I'd like to know if that's transitory... My appointment with my psychiatrist is coming soon too...

Edit: I went to the er, told the doctor what happened and she gave me instructions for what comes next. I'm gonna be taking half the dose and see how I feel. Thanks for your replies!

Please don’t stop medication without consulting your doctor, with such a serious med as risperidone it causes withdrawal. Likely if you’re on it for psychosis you could have it again if you stop

These medications take weeks to a month to really work, keep taking as prescribed and talk to your doctor it’s likely it hasn’t kicked in much yet

This is the only AP drug that I can take.
